After I installed my kit. I too, emailed Full Race and Nostrum in regards to this issue back in March of this year. They advised that the hard line that was provided in my kit was not one in the batch that were defective.

However, he did advise that they did make a revision to line regarding the line routing and the addition of the mouting bracket.

They advised if I was not having issues to leave mine installed.

It seems that they are still failing, both old and new design. If anyone has any additional information on an alternative high pressure line, I am all ears.

Adding some details from one of the owners affected:

- Of 3 known cars there with Full Race pumps 2 had catastrophic failures. And one of those caught fire and is likely totaled and that was confirmed on the most recent revision.

- Both that failed were installed by different mechanics less than 3000 miles ago.

- Both failed on their second day of being used at the track.

FYI - If you are running a Full Race HPFP, it has been confirmed that the soft hp fuel line extreme DI and 4 piston sells will not work.

yes - this is correct. That works as a replacement for the stock fuel line, which the XDI pump also uses.

As far as I understand, Nostrum are now on their third revision of the line.

To give you all my story, I also experienced the same failure as @scuderia_miso on the V2 line. Cracked at the brazing between the tube and the ferrule at the fuel rail side. This happened at last year's WTAC shootout lap.
I was thankfully lucky enough not to experience a fire.

Nostrum Fedex'd a V3 line. One of the staff members who I spoke to on the phone explained that the tolerances between the tube and the ferrule is now tighter, improving the rigidity of the joint and reducing the amount of gap the brazing is now having to take up. The ferrule itself looks to be slightly larger than the previous version. There's also a support bracket in the middle like the OE line.

I have the XDI soft line in my shop however upon installation found that it grabs very few threads on the rail and the pump, also it's a hydraulic soft line made of NBR (manufactured by Parker, designed for oils, not fuels), which isn't fully compatible with E85.

I will be installing a fire suppression system cause currently I have very little trust in it, and all other currently available solutions on the market

So should I contact them to send me their V3 line? I got the fuel pump probably around December 2025

Hmm…should be okay to install I hope…
At this point it seems iffy. They are on try 3 and it's still not right. I have V3 on my car and am legitimately concerned. I also don't want to keep paying to replace this thing.

I know it will not make anyone feel better, but after asking around. OEM high pressure fuel lines have also been known to fail when tracked.

Also, this problem is well known, and I at least know of two seperate entities that are working on a proper high pressure capable soft line with E85 compatibility.

I will leave them to introduce the product when they are ready. But I just wanted to give everyone a smidge of hope that this will be hopefully resolved soon. Why Full Race has not done this is interesting to say the least. Perhaps they need replaced often due to the pressure? Would be nice to hear from them directly.

Based on Full Race own advise, I am not going to change mine at this time. However, I am going to hold off on tracking until I source a fix. A fuel fire is a terrible thing, not risking it on track.

Hi, I’m not just a Fullrace fuel pump owner but also a victim of fuel line failure (version 2). Luckily, my car did not catch on fire and made it back to paddock/garage safely.

Tracking a car understandably introduces more wear and tear which might require “frequent” maintenance or replacement. But this fuel line didn’t even last more than five 20 minute sessions. This shouldn’t be clubbed together with tracking consumables. This isn’t acceptable.

I have reached out to Nostrum and spoke to a representative. I have since emailed him a link to this thread. He advised that he is going to reach out to the development team regarding the failures. He was specifically concerned about the Rev3 failure as it was the first he had heard of. Anyway, I did not feel it was my place to speak for anyone who experienced the failures, so I figured allowing them to reach out to you guys on here was best. I hope this helps in some way.

hopefully the v3 failure was just an improper installation / one-off incident

and thanks for the intel on development of a soft line

How does one qualify if it’s improper installation? Was the failures from v1 or v2 also due to improper installation?
