Funny, just talked to a Dallas dealer; and when I asked, they in return asked me how I knew what I was asking. I explained everything, but they were confused, claimed they are apart of Lithia, which has over 39 dealerships nationwide, and say they have heard literally nothing about any incoming allocations… then again, this person could be a doofus.

This is the most annoying part of taking deposits. My dealership has also stopped taking deposits on the FL5 for this reason.
Not sure what dealers are allowed to do and not do, but my deposit was “non-refundable”. Probably for the reason you’re saying.

Dealers currently choose how they want to deal with it. So some are non-refundable, some are refundable and others don’t take deposits at all. At our dealership we do reserve the right to refuse a deposit if we’re made aware that you have multiple deposits all over the place.
Just because you’re making it more difficult for people that only want to work with our dealership instead of shopping around.

For those of you that have multiple deposits, if you do get a call from multiple dealers about your allocation, anyone willing to help a brother out? :)

I hard time justifying keeping someone's deposit... If you are not buying anything then here is your money. Don't get me wrong, there are times when I want to do that. I'm just not going to.

We have a pretty good operation here. We all understand we are not looking to take people out of the market just to do it. We are looking to sell the cars that we have incoming. There is a difference when that is your intention.

I will not hesitate to reach out to you if that is the case for me! In fact, I'll gladly make a note of your name.

In fact, if you wanna shoot me a cell number/name or something I'll save it in my notes so I can help out with that. Would love nothing more than to hook someone up in that instance!

I would imagine the only way I get it back is if they aren’t getting me a Type R.

So ironically enough the info I get on my cars isn’t even from my dealership but another florida dealer who I’ve purchased many cars from. This is what he just told me a few minutes ago, thought I’d share what I get…English is his second language so that’s why the English is a bit broken on his end

If I knew that I would "eventually" receive one then it would put a lot of nerves to rest. From all the speculation, unless you're one of the first on a reservation list or extremely lucky, these are the individuals who are most likely to procure one. I'm just hoping that I can get one in a couple years. I've already accepted the fact that I won't get this within the first wave...

Still lines up with a lot of guesses that it will be late October early November before cars show up here.

2 more months seems realistic at this point as we haven't even seen LHD models on factory transport. They haven't even released pricing of the car so what makes you think it's coming ASAP?!

My dealer told me that the color they get allocated will likely be the one they get and they can only put a request in. Just like the launch of the FK8.

Anyone in the US thinking that the FL5 is going to be easy to get or even possible at MSRP are in for a rude awakening. Times are much different than they were 5 years ago.

Lol clearly I know it’s not coming soon…I’m just messing with him saying I need it asap.

I think we all know msrp is very hard unless you work at a dealership or are buying from msrp only dealers

It’ll be difficult but they’re out there

Why do people keep making the same statements, like it’s the first time we’ve heard it? This damn thread has over 2,000 comments… we ALL know this. Ok, at least all of us who even remotely pay attention.

Some news from Japan... For Japan. It's the third website to mention 400 per month. No clue how true. I tried to track down the source of that comment but I was not able to do so.
