Thanks! I have a pic from the dealer's computer screen and him telling me it's my car with the VIN. Oddly the VIN has an asterisk at the end. Do we think that makes it legit?

Why would you just jump into the negotiation with I’ll pay you more? Next time say hey, how much will give me on this trade in?And how much money do you need for a deposit? Or my favourite, How much do I need to add to my trade in for this car?

In a normal car buying environment, you're 100% right. And maybe I should've done that regardless. But with the minimum I'm seeing in the southeast being 10k ADM and the few MSRP only dealers I've come across all being 20 people deep, I figured I'd try to pitch what I'm comfortable with spending.

Hey guys, long time lurker here. Just heard back from my dealership in IA today, looks like they have no new information about anything reg. allocations ugh. They did tell me to expect some kind of markup around 10-15k$ over msrp though. For reference, they did sell a couple fk8's in the past and they are sure they will be getting atleast one.
