I swear I have dealers calling me, practically begging me to come in and make an offer.... apparently the $15-20K markups aren't selling quickly in my area. Even the $10K ADM Boost Blue is still available.

If I can get a White or Red for about $52K OTD then I'd bite the bullet.... otherwise I'll happily wait until wave 2 or 3 with the 2 smaller dealers I have $5K ADM in writing.

Are you guys taking any Color’s ?

White at MSRP or I will not buy. I've already passed on a dozen cars for either the wrong color or them asking 5-15K ADM. Once they say they have a ADM I basiclly just say, "thanks not willing to pay a markup and hang up on them".

I have two dealers that have white ones coming in that are supposed to email me over the paperwork today. One already called this AM, both prob have ADM but I will just keep hunting.

Good luck but I dont think youll find a msrp car for least a year. Especially not of the first. People thirsty as hell right now and ive seem some stooopid financial mistakes.

I like your strategy. I feel bad for the forum members without a lot of options - but I've got about 10 different dealers with incoming FL5'S somewhat competing for sales. I highly doubt any of them will see more than a $10K ADM for this first wave....and after the initial excitement I am hoping for more price drops.

It's somewhat of a gamble, but I feel better about my chances of getting one now that I've seen all these local dealers unable to close a deal since seeing VINs in the system earlier in the week.

Opinions aren't facts you young whipper snapper!

I would rather have this free market with the opportunity to buy the car I want today then to wait around for years "to buy at msrp" thanks to government price fixing with the likely possibility that I will never get a new car because of the extremely finite supply aka Canada. And then get bent over for every tax imaginable on the purchase. Don't mind my ramblings I am 87 years old and haven't had my morning oatmeal yet.
Anyone waiting for MSRP better not be in a hurry for a Type R, period. The last were 10k plus ADM for years and these will be too. Anyone that does get MSRP better thank their lucky stars because it is NOT happening often

I am waiting, not in a hurry as I do not "need" this or any car at the moment.

I am a die hard Honda guy and sold my 2020 for this, but it's a matter of principal for me. MSRP or nothing.

I think it's heavily dependent on the local markets. I'm seeing lots of $5K ADM options in Southeast USA. Also the current interest rates are nearly double what they were 2 yrs ago. I'm not saying you're wrong at all - but I think some people are betting that things will be better in 6 months to a year. I'm happy to take that gamble if it saves me $5-10K.

PDI is now in the system, which means for sure some dealerships have got cars

I know of at least 3 dealerships in Cali that have gotten there's already. None in my native Florida yet. Couple dealerships in states surrounding Cali get there's between today and Monday

I know there a 2 guys on one of the FL5 FB groups who have posted with their new R already. They must have been there when the car was unloaded.
