$72k civic is a lot but the added warranties could be added to any car. the ADM is the only painful part but right now you do kinda have to pay to play. I paid $2k over for an Si in Feb '22 and $20k over for a GT4 in June. Lame but a lot of the "we don't charge markup" dealerships don't get units. i'd strongly suggest against ADM for folks who might need to sell before that's wiped away but money can be spent in worse ways.
Also, regarding the M3 comparison ... M3s aren't easy to get at $70k any more. I bought one in 2015 and another 2016 for mid-high $60s after some rebates and such. First was DCT ($72k), second was manual (way more fun and cheaper at $63k). Now it's not uncommon to see an M3 hit $95-100k. insane.
Back on topic -- i'm on the fence about the $3100 wheel "option". I agree that $3100 seems really steep for an option .. but kinda low if an accessory, especially if you get two sets of tires. I'm inclined to think this is an option. Regardless, i'm a big fan of black wheels and 100% will stick to the standard wheels.
