A couple forum members have either installed or intend to install a similar system. Try @Icehawk , they may be able to help.

Hoping someone else who has installed this can help me out - I can't seem to get the trimming just right to get the rear console to click in at the top. I've cut down a lot of the clips and it still won't go in. Any tips?!

Mikstore has a video on how to trim down the clips but I'm guessing you've probably already seen it. Did you order the kit from there? Do you reckon that kit would work for a right-hand drive CTR?

Yep, looked at pics, vids, etc and not sure what I'm missing. I went ahead and just installed it as-is for now - I can't see it from the front seat and it works fine so my kid gets the a/c he needs, it's just not 100% pretty as there is a bit of a gap at the top. The vents work well btw.

I'm assuming you have the keep the floor vents on for the rear vent to work, correct? If so, is there a noticeable loss of floor vent cooling in the front?

Also, how long did the install take/difficulty of install?

Thanks!

That looks good enough to me. Did you use the splitter piece to split the air between the console vents and the floor vents? I took apart my console today to have a look, and there didn't appear to be quite enough space to fit the splitter piece that Mikstore offers in there.

Air goes to the rear with it set to floor or top vents, there is some loss of airflow but even in crazy hot FL there's still plenty enough to the floor IMO.

The install took me a lot longer than it would a second time just due to figuring out how to remove the center console - it's easy but some of it wasn't obvious and gets brushed over in every guide & video (mainly, to remove the cupholder area... yank hard up then you can see the last 2 screwss to undo). Undoing all the connectors is PITA too, and clearly I missed one as I'm getting a key error, I need to open it back up and double check I didn't miss one/reseat them.

I'd say it's a solid hour to do. It wasn't hard though.

Yes, it uses the splitter. If you're just looking at the area it looks like this will never work - you need to pull the little L bend tube to the bottom vents, this exposes the "non-split" airbox that you remove and replace with the splitter's, that allows you to reconnect the bottom vent and attach the new, rear, tube.

I don't reckon you have a part number for the splitter (and is that a Honda OEM part?)? I don't think I can use the kit from Mikstore since the airbox on my right-hand drive is on the left side rather than the right side. That means I need a long vent tube (the one that extends from the splitter to the rear console vents) that curves right rather than left. I think I found one on JDM Yamoto but it doesn't look like they've got the splitter.

Sorry the Mikstore stuff all came without packaging or part #s so no help there. It certainly seems like an OEM part to me?

Here's JDM_DOHC_SiR's list they used:

83451-T24-T01ZA : Rear A/C Panel x1
83406-TVA-A01ZA : Rear A/C Vent x1
83453-T24-T01 : Rear A/C Duct x1
83460-T43-J00 : Front Lower A/C Duct x1
83465-T43-J00 : Rear Lower A/C Duct x1
91550-SFJ-W01ZE : Clips x3

Based on this:
https://jdmyamato.com/products/nhp001628

Looks like the splitter is on another diagram so I don't know the part #, maybe ping JDM and see if they have a part # used and not listed, it's possible they decided to not use the splitter and just go with no floor vent (I think you can do that).

Unfortunately you can not purchase the lower HVAC splitter alone you have to purchase the whole blower duct assembly with motor and is in the $500 range.
Hence why I found mine on the Japanese Auctions.

hope this helps

Maybe see if Mikstore will just sell that one part? Bear in mind they ship via Fedex and it's $$$, or it least it was for the a/c kit. I *think* you can skip the splitter if you are willing to go w/o floor air.

Did you ever fix this gap? I'm getting ready to put mine in this weekend. Every post I've seen on the FB groups none have the gaps as yours.
