Really was starting to give up on the clean install for the rear dash camera until I had a light bulb moment đź’ˇ- no drilling or wires sticking out.

It’s quite a tight space to tuck in the cabling but not impossible to do so have patience and make sure to prepare two pry tools to make the job possible.

hi @TR3BLE !! really appreciate you dash cam video, I referenced installing the 2ch Viofo A229 Pro in my 2025 Civic Type R
everything went fairly smooth, running USB-C thru grommet took a while, but biggest "issue" is the fact that closer to the center mounting position of the rear cam there just isn't enough room between trim and rear cam to tug in the USB-C cable, I can tug it in from the rear defroster plug but about 12-16 inches from the center of rear window, the glue (?) is almost at the very edge of the trim, did you not have that issue, I used proper plastic trim tools but just can't create enough of a gap to push the wire in, any suggestions, did you not run into this? it was fairly cold during my install, prob around 50F, maybe heating up the trim along rear window's bottom edge helps?
either way thanks again for your video, very helpful !!

Any luck figuring out how to hide rear window cable management? I too wasn’t able to get it in between the plastic. Thanks

nope, I used some black electrical tape to keep it in place for the time being, I'll make another attempt this summer when the temps are much higher, it's really quite clean except for maybe 10-20 inches of cable that can't go in-between rear glass and trim piece

lol that’s what I’m doing too but the tape comes off as time goes by because of the Florida heat. I just bought black Cable holder from Amazon and it got delivered today. Seeing if that is another good option.

Yeah me too that’s why I’m using electric tape to hide it. I’m going to try the cable holders to see if that will give it a cleaner instal

Ah. I misunderstood. I thought you had a lot showing. The little bit that is showing is behind the black on the glass so I don’t really see it. I’ll be curious what you think of the cable holders though. Be sure and post pics

Well here it is. Definitely a cleaner look and you can’t see it when you’re looking at your rear view mirrors. Just gotta see how long the 3mm tape with stands the Florida heat.
