I've had nothing but titanium exhaust since 06 on all my cars that didn't have bumper cut outs. Not one has ever cracked starting with my first greddy titanium on my evo 8.
Imo they sound better than stainless and I'm a firm believer in saving weight when you can.
Noise from exhaust doesn't bother me. I had to Google drone because I have absolutely no idea what that is.
Give me all the sounds, spool, wastegaete, bov, intake exhaust because I want the engagement. If I wanted to have a peaceful space I'd buy a Volvo.

Do you track your car ? I imagine any cracking you might get would be from tracking your car and going from extreme heat and cooling off cycles . As far as sound I’ve heard the complete opposite and that titanium exhaust sound more “tinny” and not as deep and that was coming from a YouTuber that tracks his car and just installed it but his main concerns were weight over sound and also heard that from a manufacturer that offered both .What exhaust are you running now out of curiosity?

My evo 8 had greedy titanium up to 830hp and was whored out on the street and 1/4 mile. Used the same exhaust on my evo 9 600 hp and drove just as hard. C6z titanium exhaust no issues f1 procharged drove hard no issues.
My fl5 titanium exhaust sounds great and I've heard remark titanium and stainless in person.

I have used titanium exhausts (from reputable brands) on most of the cars I have owned over the last several decades. I never experienced a single issue with any of the welds or cracking. I guess if you buy a cheap version, you get what you pay for.

Here is a sound video of a similar titanium exhaust that I used on my RX-7 for over 100K miles (they can sound throaty if designed properly):

As for the FL5, here is a video where you can hear stock vs the Fugitsubo titanium exhaust:

Titanium has a higher thermal expansion rate and can become brittle over time due to heat cycling. That is the reason why it should not be used for a downpipe/front pipe connection to the turbo assembly. Instead, SS is used.

Good to know 👍🏻 I only mentioned the sound difference because if I remember correctly was even said from Remark comparing the Two exhausts and other YouTubers . Also my installer that’s been doing exhausts for over 20 years mentioned that titanium exhausts can crack and doesn’t recommend them.
Either way glad you and some others have had good results with titanium. For me the almost double price and the risks mentioned above definitely not worth it to me and my needs.

I had to locate a titanium welder once and take him to the track to weld a brand new GT3 akrapovic exhaust the blew one resonator cap at the track. Next morning he had to go again to weld the other side. lol.

How many threads on this fourm are about cracking titanium exhaust. You can buy a tomei made in China for about 1k. I bet you can't find 3 post on the fourm about them cracking.
Buy what your pockets allow and what works best for you.

Not sure what’s reported on this forum I just know what my installer mentioned when I didn’t even bring it up. It’s all good brother we’re both happy and that’s what counts 👍🏻👊🏻

Man that’s not good I also heard titanium is a B*tch to weld . I use to run Akrapovov on my track bikes and they weren’t cheap😳

I've also owned a few titanium exhausts over the years (currently have one on the FL5) and never once had an issue. A titanium exhaust is more susceptible than a stainless variant to cracks but that doesn't mean it will crack. Remember when a CAI could hydrolock your engine? Yeah, had a few of those as well and that never happened either. If there's a titanium or inconel option, I will always, at the very least, be interested.
