  1. Tegiwa intake comparison/test

I have tuned a car with the Gruppe M intake and didn“t like how it affected maf readings. Fuel trim went to -10% in high loads as soon as the intake was installed. This means the maf is reading more air that it should, so car will run richer, with less boost and less timing. It can be fixed with...
  2. FL5 Overheated on Track

It traveled from china to Florida, then to Brazil WITHOUT A BOX lol and arived unharmed. here is a video of it at the import company: Now It has to move anotehr 600 miles to arive at me, wich is a pita because freigh companies here are the worse.
  3. An in-depth talk about FL5 ECU tuning

Reflex+ is a port injection controller that connects via CAN network. It can work in many ways, but for my use, it will be used as a I/O expander for the oem ecu. I have added all the necessary tables on the oem code, so it calculates injection time for both mpi and DI based on a split table I...
  4. An in-depth talk about FL5 ECU tuning

Something cool, finally. Will start working into a full Reflex+ integration this week. This means port injection how it should be. Everything controlled and calculated by the ecu. The Reflex+ will only work as a CAN driven injector driver with 2 way communication. That means I can even...
  5. Can FL5 front clear 10.5J Et50 running 285 tires?

Im about to try this on 280 slicks, Swift sprigs, camber maxed out at the top.
  6. Official Wheel Fitment Thread for 11th Gen FL5 Civic Type R

I ordered 18x10.5 ET47 apex to fit 280-650 R18 slicks up front I hope it fits. 280 slicks are as wide as 295 A052“s
  7. FL5 Overheated on Track

It“s very doable, the code is there. Just need to borrow the sensor from an FK2, pin it on your ecu and do a few software changes. I have the software part of the solution ready to test, just didn“t have the time or the will to do the other part. You are correct. The system is built to warm up...
  8. FL5 Overheated on Track

Well, yes, most of the flow go trough the radiator but the amount that circulate the parallel systems is not negletable. Anyone who turned on the heater at the track will know what I mean… it makes a HUGE difference on temperature, in my case its the only way to do 2 full laps.
  9. FL5 Overheated on Track

Yes, but this is the one we cant get rid of. It’s importat to bleed the air from the system.
  10. FL5 Overheated on Track

The hot water comes out of the head, then it has 5 possible paths: To the radiator, then back to the engine To the turbo, then back to the engine To the transmission, then back to the engine To the heater core, then back to the engine To the throttle body then back to the engine. See that...
  11. Limp Mode on first track day

Are you kidding me? even if no limp mode occurs, how long do you think the engine will last if you keep driving with head temps over 120C?
  12. FL5 Overheated on Track

car limps over 120C, sometimes it goes all the way to 125 then limps. but keep in mind, anything over 100 is bad. 110 is as far as I would consider acceptable. These cars have many design flaws that lead to overheating. Keep in mind car manufacturers are more interested in making the engine...
  13. FL5 Overheated on Track

I have some spare time this week, so I“m builing another radiator to fit behind the intercooler. But when I stop to think about this, it pisses me off that is so hard to cool down a car that shouldn“t have this problem to begin with. I ordered the hondata fuel kit also so I can run at least...
  14. FL5 Overheated on Track

I haven“t tested the latest setup at the track, but another addition I made, other then the PWR and the HEL oil cooler, was divorcing the transmission from the water system. Main reason for that is to remove parallel systems. Keep in mind that if you plug all parallel systems and still run a...
  15. FL5 Overheated on Track

well.. I don“t have data but I“ve had multiple turbo cars and never ran a water line. never had issues. EGT“s on our cars are low due to the headifold and I also run a lot of fuel so it might live. Just avoid shuting the engine down imeadiately after beating the hell out of it and it should...
  16. FL5 Overheated on Track

Remove the water lines that cool the turbo. We tested it. great improvement
  17. Anyone using RZCREW intake manifold?

I even asked them, and yes, I“m the only and first one lol. should take like 45 days to arive then I“ll do the testing
  18. Anyone using RZCREW intake manifold?

It seems like everyone is running the pracworks manifold, including many friends of mine, but I refuse to pay 2K$ on it and I really dislike the 180 bend on the runners. So after some research I found this...
  19. Low Turbo Pressure as a Result of Tuning

a drop in filter should not cause problems. The downpipe could get boost control off but I“ve never seen it on keihins
  20. Low Turbo Pressure as a Result of Tuning

If the maf sensor housing is changed on your intake then it could be a problem as well
