The purpose of this thread is to compile on-car photography and videography of Apex flow formed and fully forged wheels on FL5 Civic Type-R chassis while providing the community with detailed information surrounding wheel and tire fitment, alignment settings, brake and suspension clearances, and more. Whether you enjoy your FL5 on the street, or you are a weekend warrior competing for a podium spot, our seasoned experts are here to provide advice to ensure you get the most of your wheel and tire setup.

We encourage enthusiasts here on CivicXI to also share photos of their Apex wheels, and if you do, we're sure the community would greatly appreciate the supplementary information below:
  • Apex wheel model, specs, and finish
  • Tire model and specifications
  • Suspension and brake modifications (if applicable)

We'll kick things off by showing off few favorite photos of our available designs:

Love the EC-7s. Alas, I already have a similar wheel lined up (and purchased) for when I eventually pick up an FK8 or FL5.

I have the same car & wheels but 18x10.5 +47 with 285/35/18. I have the front guide pins pulled and rear RV6 arms for -2 & -2.5 camber. I've been wondering about the Pro kit fitting with this setup and I'd think with yours being taller, I should be fine with springs about an inch drop and no rub.

You should be fine. Your setup is actually .2 inches taller, but with 2 degrees of negative camber in the front, should fit like a glove. I’m at 1.4.

Nice, thanks! I've been talking myself out of it bc a few certain unavoidable angles around the house but I think I can manage the drop especially with the taller tire as far as minor scraping is concerned.
