Its like you read my mind with the set-ups lol, whatever heat insulation method you go with, I will watch keenly
Decided to go with the integral (i.e., hard lagged) ZircoFlex SHIELD since the insulation is encapsulated and only adds 3 mm of additional thickness. I sent Zircotec an email with part PICs to inquire about the cost to hard lag the SBX downpipe and MHI Stage 2 turbine side.

I can’t wait to get my downpipe. Going to just run a downpipe & stock exhaust (my last FL5 I overdid it with 3”full turbo back (TSP pipe) with no muffler or resonator and hated it, the stock exhaust isn’t super limiting), jump on IMW’s dyno and then call it quits for modding. Hoping the lead time shortens up so I can schedule with DRob.

Just bought 20k worth of tooling to make batches faster lest cutting more welding for my guy. Wait times will get faster once these initial ones are fully out in GP. Shipping 20 out on Thursday.

Raw SBX downpipe mated onto a new MHI Stage 2 turbo assembly:

SBX downpipe was a custom order (i.e., no SBX logo or studs to support reinstalling the OEM heat shields). Reference this thread for discussion of optional hard lagging, soft lagging, or coatings worth considering.
Nice setup!!!! looks sick! Def post once you figure out the heat management side. I will look into that company you guys want to try also thanks for the posts

Does Zircotec do work in the US? I thought they were UK based.
I've scoped these guys out in Indiana. Probably less expensive than Transatlantic shipping.

Yes, Zircotec is UK based and HeaderShield is US based.

Shipping costs are shipping costs...I am more focused on what I believe is the best option. From my research, I decided to go with Zircotech. For additional discussion, please follow this thread.

Thanks...Added PICs as I thought it was interesting to see how beefy the downpipe looks when connected to a turbo assembly.

Regarding coatings/thermal management, people are fickle in that area (myself included). IMHO, I really like the product offered as is so the customer has a choice to take it from there.
