Interesting. how does this compare to the current market offerings in terms of performance?

Interesting. how does this compare to the current market offerings in terms of performance?

Honestly, performance wise, most quality downpipes on this platform will end up in a similar horsepower range when properly tuned. Where this one separates itself is in flow efficiency, premium catalyst quality, and long-term reliability.

The design focuses on what actually matters:

✔ 3.5" section right off the turbo (where restriction and heat are highest)
✔ Proper transition to 3" for optimal velocity and fitment
✔ 4.5" GESI GEN2 UHO catalyst (#85200) — fully disclosed, no guesswork, no China
✔ 304 stainless steel construction with mandrel bends (not cast)

Most options on the market stay at 3" off the turbo, but through testing we found that 3.5" helps reduce heat and improve overall flow efficiency. Tested larger designs early on 4" off the turbo and even a 5" catalyst but they didn’t perform as well in real-world applications. Tighter bends hurt flow, so this final version is built around what actually works best and fits properly in the tight engine bay.

Another thing worth noting most companies don’t disclose the brand or part number of their catalyst. That never sat right with me. We’re doing the opposite: full transparency on materials and components, so you know exactly what you’re getting. No alibaba rebrand here.

This downpipe is mandrel bent, not cast, and built right here in Pennsylvania. The goal wasn’t to chase extremes or throw shots at competitors it was to build something that works exceptionally well for the majority of setups, especially stock turbo and drop in turbo.

At the end of the day, this came directly from customer feedback taking what people liked, what they didn’t, and building something better around that. There are only so many variables in a downpipe, but I’m confident this final version will hold its own in a competitive market. And if there’s feedback? I’ll keep improving it.

This is a grassroots effort and I am starting at 0 built with my own money, not backed by a large corporation. I wouldn’t release something I wouldn’t run on my own car.

Transparency, reliability, and real-world performance—that’s what this is about.

I like the approach, transparency goes a long way. I just got back from the Acura Grand Prix to see it’s “Out of stock” already… that was fast!

Curious...How does this compare/contrast against the TSP downpipe with GESI cat? Also, how much does the downpipe weigh?

How's the fitment of the stock heatshields? Do we need to do any modification of the stock heatshields? We would love to become a dealer to offer our customers another option!

TSP TO SBX GESI
TSP No flange, just core
SBX Flanged or pre-piped core

Great question about the weight too. Always a bonus, hopefully we’ll know soon.

another great question. When I read his description, he mentioned the stand offs. I hope the stand offs are pre integrated, china or usa material doesn’t bother me there. Having to use stand off spacers does.

I’m at my kids birthday party I’ll answer your questions a bit later 👍 appreciate the questions and interest and I’m always open to more ideas and changes. I’d be happy to let you try the prototype for a few days when I’m done with it

I got some questions:

1. Will this be offered with a coating (I know a lot of places have cerakote, but if you could offer something like swaintech that'd be leaps and bounds better)?
2. Will this throw a code?
3. Besides transparency and made in America, what makes your downpipe different?

Honestly I'm not really out here to compare against anyone else's product I will let you guys do that :) my opinion only goes so far — I designed this thing from scratch myself, it wasn't farmed out to another company to engineer orbought from PRL like they did I put effort into desinging something useful. I changed the design 5 times. I posted on my facebook group updates along the way. 3.5" off the turbo, GESI GEN2 UHO core with proper G-Sport transition cones for a smooth and proper 3.5" to 4.5" transition in and out of the cat — no not just a bare core welded into a pipe. Smooth transitions are the most important aspect of good flow. It's a complete, engineered assembly. As far as weight, I'll have that number for you guys soon when I tease pics, just want to give you accurate info and not guess.

It's a one-man operation building an American-made product with quality materials and hardware. Not a huge company pumping out volume to hit a price point. I get it's not the cheapest option out there, but you're getting what you pay for. I am making no money on this as I rather build credibility.

Stock heatshields bolt right up, no modification needed — that was a priority during the design. Funk motorsport is making a cuwstom blanket for it also so you will have that option. That will not be ready for 12 weeks. As far as becoming a dealer, I'm going to be opening that up once I get things rolling here. There will be different tiers available including drop ship options so you won't necessarily need to stock inventory upfront. Stay tuned and shoot me an email at [email protected] so I have you on my radar.

The standoffs are 304 stainless not crappy alluminum other companies use, manufacturered from my design from a company I trust. They're made in China if I had them made domestically it would've added a few hundred bucks to the price and for a part that literally just holds the heatshield in place, that didn't make sense. They're beefy, a tank and they're quality, and I'm confident in them. The core, the piping, the fabrication — that's all done here in PA .

These are the tranisiton cones from cat to pipe

I’m very curious and love your design. I wonder if this question needs to be answered, after the test of time with several units but, am curious how CEL sensitive it is / will be?
