Hello, I have been looking at wheels for my 23 FL5 and some sizes are limited too 19x9.5 +35 and 19x8.5 +35.
Are these offsets too aggressive for the FL5?
I have 18x9.5+35 on mine now and no problems, I haven't seen anyone with this width and offset on 19s.

Any responses deeply appreciated.

Hundreds of responses on this forum if you take your time and search.

Stock is 19x9.5 +60
Flush with front fender is 19x9.5 +45

......

I think the consensus is if you go to 18" wheels you NEED to run aggressive 200TW tires to match the feel of the factory 19" setup. Anything less will increase comfort at the cost of handling. If you go with 19" wheels you can go a little more aggressive with the offset but anything beyond +45 is probably too much torque steer.

🤷‍♂️

I personally think 9.5 +35 is too aggressive. +45 is not quite flush but a good compromise of appearance and performance.

I'd say +40 is flush and borderline too aggressive with 275 tires. The God spec that many reference on this forum (10" +40) is basically the same as your +35.

Since I was quoted in this thread I have settled on 18x9.5 +40 with 265 tires (200 TW) for my summer setup. Currently on order and hope it shows up before the end of summer!

Thanks for the repsonses, I've done quite a bit of research through Facebook and honestly not entirely much through this forum I used the search key word 19x8.5 since it wouldn't let me use +35 as a keyword so I couldn't exactly find it all, it was just easier to make a post and ask.

Facebook groups aren’t the most knowledgeable, for a good understanding of offsets and different wheel sizes, browse the Wheel fitment thread.
I did; and I learnt amount of info from there.
The more you research into this, the clearer your answers become.

Also; don’t downgrade to an 8.5 in wheel;
9.5 to 10 in with offsets from +38 to +45, is the sweet spot for performance and aesthetics.
18 vs. 19 comes down to personal preference.
