1 is a billy cart.
10 is a Rolls Royce Phantom.

Where would you place the FK8 and FL5?

Ha. The FL5 is significantly stiffer. However, the modes make more sense. Comfort in the FK8 was a dud, but in the FL5 it is usable. If we are just talking about feeling the rough road I'd say FK8 = 8 and FL5 = 7. It doesn't seem so bad without all the rattles that previously existed.

TLDR: Type R wins.

Toyota doesn't lose this comparison test so much as the 2023 Honda Civic Type R wins it with its end-to-end excellence. Not a single major asterisk attaches itself to the CTR: It delivers racy performance, refinement, spaciousness, quality, and a special sizzle that will indulge owners every day, just as a leading hot hatch should.

This is the first review I've read that says the FL5 has more responsive steering than the FK8. I wonder if they treat "responsive" and "feeling" differently. But then they go on to call the steering "Porsche-like"

People have to write something to keep their jobs. Only when we drive the car ourselves will we know what our opinion is. So...I am keenly awaiting February 2023 to drive the demonstrator car...
Reviews are just one person's view. The view of a person who is not going to put money on the table to actually buy one! (noting the exceptions of Topher, Savagegeese and Tedward).

And of course people's opinions flip flop.

When Zac and Farrah drove the Type R, they said it was better than the Corolla GR and that would be their pick.

Now they've driven the GR in their latest video and suddenly the GR is the pick...
