They mentioned Rick Case Honda (FL) and Braman Honda (FL) in a previous post as being two of the top dealers in the country.

If the vehicle isn't delayed... My experience has been 3-5 days on average after the production date. I feel lately (within the last month) Honda has really waited to offer a product range until the allocation of vehicle the following month. Perhaps in an effort to reduce delays? I'm not quite sure. However, I feel I have received VIN within the production date range.

When I meant different it was in reference to the VIN. I agree with you on a launch. That is typical Honda fashion. They will then eventually have an on-sale date for the model too.

You mentioned 30-45 days from production to arrival at the dealer. Are you basing that off previous vehicles? It has been so long since we have received vehicles consistently from Japan that I really can't think of a duration. I do think that what you mentioned seems quite reasonable I just can't base it on anything currently. It can take nearly a month for an HR-V from Mexico to make it lol
Yes I'm basing the 30-45 days off of previous vehicles. Don't get me started on HRVs lol. Those things are the most inconsistent car when it comes to tracking. Our District Honda Corporate liaison has assured us that transportation for the FL5 from Japan will be more efficient and accurate than Mexico. Before the pandemic some 10th gen Civic EXs were being built in Japan for a while and they were consistent in tracking similarly to cars built in Canada

Can't be certain on any of this til the damn thing touches the dealership

I couldn't agree more... The HR-V has been a mess for the last two generations when it comes to arrival times.

I'm glad to know that the shipments from Japan will be more accurate. I could always tell the Japanese cars on the lot due to the solar tinted windows. However back then, inventory levels and dealer exchanges just created an atmosphere where it didn't much matter. Do you expect dealers to be able to pick the colors they want for the most part or do you expect lots of OCR-T action?

My guess is that these cars will arrive on dealer lots in December/January and every dealership will get at least one. Do you plan on buying one?

A lot of you guys can do google searches for the highest volume Honda dealer in whatever state you live in. Lots of times the dealership uses that as bragging rights and mentions it.

Yea, your right back then inventory wasn't even remotely a problem. The GM or inventory manger should be able to pick colors up to a certain point(can't pick too much of one color) but as you're aware customers can only choose from colors that have been assigned to that dealership. Then again with the way production is looking color wont matter to most, they'll be more concerned with being able to get one.

Yes I plan on buying one, can't decide between CW or RR, my dealership is restricting employee purchases til after the first few customers have bought. I dont expect to get one before March or April 2023

Okay, we are on the same page with what to expect.

Well, I'm excited for you! I hope you get it as soon as you expect. Maybe Team Honda Purchase will be back by then, lol.

Good luck!

Here is the post that had a screenshot of the email sent out to Canadians re: CW, RR, and SGP available. Fingers crossed though it's just for the first model year and doesn't rule out CBP and BB for 2024-2025, as others here have said.
Championship White it is.

Just to clarify, because there is nothing more important to me than winning an argument on the internet... with an individual I'll never meet....

And the lone donkey responsible for contaminating the master batch of white paint that is now tinted yellow and sprayed on type r’s….I believe he wanders in one of those locations to this day.

Stonehenge has constant traffic jams just out of shot in that photo, I'd be surprised if Easter Island did though!
