Looks like GRC media drives are slated for this coming week! I wonder if Honda will release around the same time.

It looks like everyone is timing for the Detroit auto show as to when they will be lifting embargoes.
Makes sense

So my dealership has a 2022 Si on the lot with 5000km. Should I buy it while I wait?

Don't do it! Rev hang in Si sucks.
I’m not sure the cause of rev hang, if it a programming thing or strictly mechanical but isn’t the new Si using the FK8 transmission? At least that’s what I thought I heard in the reviews I’ve watched.

4:38. Not sure if it's mechanical or programming either!

Don't buy an Si. You'll be wishing you got the Type R as soon as they are released. Be patient!

Programming. Emissions really... It's all in an effort to lessen nitrous oxides.

I did the rounds with my sales reps today, since Sep is fast approaching. One of the reps told me rather confidently that allocations have been pushed back to Oct. 1, and the other two also had no reason to believe they’d see allocations in the coming month. Take that for what you will! See what your reps say.

Interesting...could very well have been delayed due to manufacturing delays.
I don't see any reason not to trust them, given that they gave such a specific move date of "Oct. 1".

Another month lol.

Conditioned for bad news and delays and potentially realizing bad news and delays…
