Is there anyone local to Florida that’s still looking for a FL5? Have 2 available that I can guarantee a markup under $5k if you’re local.
I can do $5k over if you’re out of statemaybe next shipment I can hit you up if that's okay. 5k doesn't sound horrible but I have work commitments. Is it local only, or would you guys make exceptions for active duty guys

What colors do you happen to have?I can do $5k over if you’re out of state

We’re unable to provide after sales support like service, performance upgrades and parts to an out of state client.Exaclty why is "out of state more"?...not in the market just curious....
I doubt it’ll happen but purple on a Type R isn’t outside of the realm of possibility. The FD2 R Civic Type R was available in Premium Deep Violet Pearl for 2 years.I'm not sure where else this might belong, but for anyone waiting on a 2024 or 2025 FL5, I really hope that Smokey Mauve Pearl they just released for the 2024 EX-L and Touring Hatchback becomes a FL5 option, even if it's just a short run.
I know, I know, it's not likely... but for anyone who's a fan of unique colors, that's one for ya.
KCMO is a shitshow when it comes to getting a CTR.It looks like a big new shipment came in on Sunday and there are a bunch more in transit. Braman Honda in Miami looks like they have 10 Type R's coming in with Sunday's update! Multiple other dealers in Miami are getting multiple cars. There is also a big dealer in LA that is getting nine in this shipment! I don't understand how one dealer can get ten cars and Kansas City has had two in like the last 4 months across it's dealers. I'm sure there is some reason, but I don't know what it is. Is it shipping costs? Anyone know?
Our experience with these dealers is consistent. I have talked with Olathe. Apparently the first 2 they received were purchased by employees and the third one that they currently have in transit is already sold to someone who had it reserved, but they don't do wait lists.KCMO is a shitshow when it comes to getting a CTR.
We have one dealer that supposedly sells MSRP to locals (Olathe). I got on their list probably close to two years ago, was told I was first on the list, and have been ghosted ever since. I can't even get them to respond to an inquiry to see if an FL5 is available when the inventory map shows one incoming. Makes me think they just sell them to friends/family or something else strange is happening.
Then we have Jay Wolfe, who locks their FL5s behind a 20k markup. Couldn't give a damn about local buyers, just show up with a briefcase of cash. I bought new cars from them previously and will never throw them another dime.
The rest appear somewhere in between, but never seem to get an allocation.
I feel for our friends to the North, I really do. The situation in Canada sounds downright awful. I’ve asked this before and didn’t quite get a straight answer. What is required and what is the cost to buy an FL5 in the U.S. and import it into Canada? Any unintended consequences worth noting? Unless it’s incredibly price prohibitive, I would heavily pursue this route to secure a car. I get the sense a lot of the folks in Canada are getting jerked and will likely never see a car. It’s is over one year I am waiting for my fl5 here in Canada, my first dealer screwed me, and now my new dealer has advised me I will get the car before April, but with no date insite, I have contacted customer relations at Honda Canada, and they did nothing for me, the situation in Canada is really disgusting how they don’t care about their customers at all.
I believe this was covered in the CAD tread, the tax and customs would make it completely undoable from a member who took a look to see.I feel for our friends to the North, I really do. EDIT: I completely spaced. You'll get destroyed on the exchange rate. CAD isn't as strong as it once was. Perhaps importing an FL5 is still an option, but maybe not a good one.
I tried to buy a brand new car in the US. I called the dealership in Plattsburgh because it’s not far for me and they told me without a US residence and a US drivers license they cannot sell me the car because it’s considered exploitationI feel for our friends to the North, I really do.
