Is this with the resonated version or aftermarket downpipe + resonator removed ?
This is the turboback setup so it has a resonator. Which I would also suggest as 27won does because this is on the edge of making long trips miserable. But I did a 2hr drive to my autocross event with no issues.

Thanks for the photos! This looks like it extends several inches out past the diffuser fins. I was really hoping this would land flush with the depth of the fins at the most. @Vlad@27WON is there a technical reason the exhaust pokes so much? Or was this a style choice? In either case I really wanted an exhaust that looked stock but sounded good. I don’t think the poke look is for me. One good thing about this much poke is that it probably fits the ITS without any issue for our ITS friends.

I agree on the look. The exhaust tips tucking up nicely under the diffuser is a much a better look IMHO - clean, organic. The tips sticking out screams aftermarket and it looks especially odd because the tips are so large. I'm sure it's fine for some folks.

Are there any exhuasts setups that have 3 tips and are flush?

I wonder if it pokes out because they initially designed it to use the 27WON downpipe which could be smaller in size than the stock one

Remark, Borla, AWE, and Milltek all have 3 tip options that are flush. I don’t think the downpipe would impact anything as far as poke on the exhaust tip side. This seems to be an intentional design decision and I can only think of 3 possibilities for it.

1) 27Won likes the poke look
2) They needed a longer exhaust to get the tone they were looking for (unlikely the 2-3 inches would change much though so I doubt this one)
3) They wanted one exhaust that would be compatible with the ITS which has identical exhaust layout to the FL5 with the exceptions of a front resonator delete and tips that extend out a bit more.

I don’t care about how much they stick out or look. Just give me the catback already. This wait is brutal.

I agree as well! I’m a minimalistic kinda guy and I wish there was interchangeable tips, as I don’t really like the shiny look of stainless steel or even those burnt style tips. It would’ve been nice to have options like black tips to match the piano black diffuser for a subtle and clean look, and also being able adjust them to make them fit flush with the diffuser, like how AWE does.

There is definitely lots of aftermarket carbon fiber diffusers with varying sizes and designs out there in the wild, ADRO, Seibon, Amigain, CMST Tuning and Dark Matter just to name a few. It would suck knowing that you won’t be able to perfect the fitment and adjust the tips to your aftermarket diffuser since it’s permanent.

The Kakimoto Racing Class KR and the SEEKER SES are three-tip offerings that appear to tuck up nicely.

Thank you for the photos and video. The fact that the BACK of the tips stick out beyond the stock diffuser is a dealbreaker for me. Hopefully they fix it for the catback but if not I'll probably keep searching for other options.

Seeker S.E.S. looks incredible but it's pricey! Anyone know of any sound clips of that one? I only seem to be able to find the racing spec. I'm curious how the non-racing spec with larger mufflers sounds? I think the racing spec would be too loud for me, Seeker website quotes 103db. The Standard Seeker seems more reasonable at 94db but I want to hear how that extra sound dampening changes the tone.

The Kakimoto sounds great too. I just wish the exhaust tips were a bit larger (3 x 3.75" tips look a bit small to me) and that there was a way to keep the valve.

The best sounding 3 tip exhausts IMO are the Seeker, 27Won, and Kakimoto. They all keep that tight, crisp tone that I associate with JDM exhaust notes.

27Won would be the choice for me based on price and convenience (not having to import) but I agree the degree to which the tips poke out past the diffuser is a dealbreaker for me too.

It's a design choice, but I will pass along the feedback to the team for sure.

The ITS will have a slightly different aesthetic and it's own version. It won't be shared with the FL5

Sounds pretty good but yeah the tips are a no go for me. People had mentioned it before release, I know I did, I am surprised yall went with the tips this far. I know its a design choice but I would be astonished if people like this better than flushed tips
