Will this have the same negative effect on the dampers overtime like the FK8 ADS switch?

I believe the FK8 ADS swap was done to get the car stiffer which makes sense that it would wear out the dampers more quickly. The Integra ADS swap is to make the car softer. Even though the damper part numbers are not identical every media person has said engineers told them they are identical hardware with just different tuning.

I believe the FK8 ADS swap was done to get the car stiffer which makes sense that it would wear out the dampers more quickly. The Integra ADS swap is to make the car softer. Even though the damper part numbers are not identical every media person has said engineers told them they are identical hardware with just different tuning.
If its of any worth it settles nicely at around 5k.

He was referring to disconnecting the ADS module and disabling it. Not swapping to the DE5 ADS module.

Just got mine today. The sticker has the right part number on it, but the module itself has a different number. I assume it's the correct part?

11th Gen Honda Civic Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit IMG_2475

That is probably the hardware "sub-part" number that is also shared with the one in the Civic since the hardware is probably identical. The high level part number is on the sticker, and the different programming is what gives it the unique part number. Same story with the 17-19, 20-21, and LE ADS.

Please post your thoughts after you drive with it. I still can’t decide. There’s a lot to like about both units. My OCD is killing me. I’ve been driving for a month with no back seat lol.

Really... you can't decide? Is it because the difference is so minimal, or very apparent? Personally I don't see myself not liking the softer tuning for daily

I temporarily swapped to 18" wheels and after making the change I don't think an ADS swap is necessary for daily driving. In fact I think it might be too soft in the Comfort suspension setting.

I recently switched back to the factory 19" wheels and I think the ADS swap will be perfect with them.

If you have already downsized your wheels it might not be worth it IMO. I went ahead and ordered the DE5 ADS and will report back after I get it installed.

The differences are noticeable. For daily driving - I “think” I like the stock comfort mode the best. ITS comfort mode would probably be better for long road trips. I didn’t realize how good stock comfort was until I disconnected ads and then switched to ITS unit. It’s a great balance of sportiness and comfort. Out of all the modes I think it fits the car the best, although at times it feels a little firm and bouncy. I do like ITS comfort mode and ITS R mode and that’s what makes it a hard choice for me. I also have a SUV and that handles most road trips so that would be part of the reason if I keep it stock.

My unit arrives tomorrow...

I run 35 profile on an 18 and have lowering springs and rigid collars. I am excited to try it out.

I basically have two of these units.

I got the ITS unit today but was busy with work all day. I will install it tomorrow and report back what I think. To add, I'm running 265/35R19 tires on the OEM rims, which have the same additional sidewall as the 265/35R18s people run on aftermarket 18" rims, so a tiny bit more comfort than the stock 265/30R19 tires. @CTR thinks the ITS module in COMFORT might be too soft with this setup, but I doubt it. I'll report back tomorrow.
