I got a Honda minivan spare with tools off eBay. Only fits rear, so would need to swap tires if the front goes flat. Most of my flats have been on rear tires though.
I paid $170. You can do better by visiting a junk yard, but none nearby me.

Last I looked into this, the FK8 kit comes with a custom carpet section, but in most cases because the "spare well" wasn't made for an actual spare, the new floor will sit 2" higher. There also isn't a spot to tie it down unless you drill a hole and install a threaded rivet or something. I am still debating just keeping my oem wheels as spares when I get new ones, but a spare in the garage would store better and cost less than 1 new full sized tire (if it has to be replaced at some point years later)

I ordered and installed an FK8 spare tire kit for my 25 FL5. I went to one yard here in town and there was no chance in finding any Honda/Acura spare tire, so I went to my selling dealer and ordered the kit brand new. Also ordered the Continental spare, and sweet talked the parts counter guy into installing the tire in the rim, so it was ready when I picked up the whole shabang.

installation was a breeze and I did not modify anything, nor any part of the new (old fk8) kit. Included were the rubber sticker pads for the standoffs in the tire well so the spare rim doesn’t rattle/get marred. The hold down bolt and washer threaded right into the center tower in the tire well. The new floor, does indeed sit higher. Too bad the kit in the USA doesn’t include the two outer pieces of foam so that the floor would be fully supported all the way to the edges. I put a large rolled up bath towel on each side of the tire for a little support.
The $330 dollars spent was worth it to me.

The Honda minivan spare tire tool kit came with 2 thumb screws and a washer plate. One thumb screw fit perfect, fastening to the existing M8 nut in the tire well (2024 CTR).
I bought the Type R trunk matt, which hides the 2" height difference.

What? There is a threaded hole in the FL5 trunk. I just swapped/installed a spare into mine and had no problems once I got ahold of the correct trunk carpet from a FK8.. I kept everything from my FK8 except for that carpet.
