Hey everyone!
I'm thinking about getting the standard Kuro turbo for my FL5 as I would like to get a little more top end pull without sacrificing the stock bottom/midrange too much and I'm not really interested in doing ethanol blends. I've been researching it and it seems some people have run this turbo with the stock fuel system with good results and others say you need to upgrade the HPFP at the bare minimum if not injectors also. I understand the turbo can make upper 400's for horsepower on ethanol blends and you would certainly need to upgrade both of those components to get max power out of the turbo while doing that, but my personal goal is just to be right around 400 or so on 93 only and I think that will keep the turbo in a very efficient and unstressed state. I think going more than that will just be too much for a FWD car also, especially one that I plan on doing autocross and track days with.
Anyways, I was curious if anyone who installed this turbo and had it custom tuned on the completely stock fuel system would be willing to share their Flashpro data logs of 3rd or 4th gear WOT pulls that I could take a look at and see how everything looks. It could be pulls from on a dyno or on the street, just specify which if you don't mind. I would also love to see any from someone that has upgraded just the HPFP as well to compare to. Bonus points if the same person went through tuning it on the stock fuel system and then upgraded the HPFP later as that would be really awesome to see the data from both setups on the same car. And if you don't mind, please list any other power related mods (DP, FP, IC, Etc.) that were done as well so I can keep that in mind.
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share some data!
