Hey guys
Updates on the car many have followed for a long time now.
Why did we ditch the L15, did we blow it?
Nope, we made 314whp and was a blast to drive but we wanted to push this platform with new ideas. We decided to swap in a K20c4 from the 10th gen Accord, its a dumb down Type R which is easier to swap than a Bosch controlled Type R engine.
Many will ask why we did not finish the K20c4. Well we just wanted the info as to what was needed for the swap and yes we can help people going forward who want to swap. Your average price is around $12k with engine and trans and parts needed and we just dont see it worth it as these are limited to around 400whp due to the fuel system. There are ways around it but its pricey and in the long run people are better just building an L15 engine and enjoy around 400whp with that.
So, this lands us to today. We have decided to go big like we always do and throw in a J35 with K series trans and a 72mm turbo to aim for 600whp at start up to making over 900whp.
We will update you all soon with pictures as we are currently figuring out the mounts and doing the custom turbo parts to make this all work in the 11th gen Civic.
