So I ordered the OEM CF spoiler and noticed a lot of defects. The biggest being the seams in the wrap leaving a lot of exposed plastic on the rear edge... the first thing you see when walking up to the car. It just looks lazy with huge gaps in some areas and inconsistent seams. This one is getting sent back because of heavy scratching all over it, but could anyone with the same spoiler confirm if the seam gaps are just as bad on yours?

Where did you order it from? This looks like a replica, the inconsistency of the weave and the poor finishing are a dead giveaway that it may be a replica. Was it advertised as a Genuine OEM part?

Are you certain that is a genuine OEM CF spoiler? It looks like a knock off with the inconsistent weaves and gaps.
I've had the OEM CF WING (Returned due to damage) and a knock off Ebay, and this looks way worse than my Ebay knockoff.
Ordered from alldiscountparts, who I've ordered plenty of other stuff from with no issues: https://www.alldiscountparts.com/oe...da-civic-carbon-fiber-wing-spoiler-8f02t60100

Yes, it's advertised as an OEM part, and has the Honda stickers that supposedly make it authentic. But yeah it looks like somebody took some fake CF vinyl wrap and put the cheapest clear they could find over it. Regardless this is getting sent back, and if they charge a restocking fee or make me pay return shipping I'm calling my credit card company because this is sketchy as hell.

Looks official, I can't remeber if on the OEM Honda part it would say Bucci Composites though. They were the original supplier until production moved to Vietnam a while back.

Just to affirm what others are saying : As a former owner of one of these (who spent a lot of time admiring it) I can definitively say that mine DID NOT look like that. Yes, you can see the seams where the carbon sheets meet (as expected), but there weren’t these massive gaps as seen in yours.

I still have my OE wing (stored in the box that my CF wing arrived in). I bought it in 2023, so it was a Bucci part. I can take a look in a bit to see if there was a Bucci sticker on the foam wrapper. I still have the CF console cover also. Bought in 2023 (I need to list it for sale) and it came wrapped in foam with a Bucci sticker. The Honda sticker with the blue protective tape looks legit. I remember mine had that too.

The blue Honda sticker looks like it has a piece of package wrapping tape holding it on under the final layer.
I'd be real surprised to hear that this is genuine.

That's really surprising that they'd send out that bad of a part. I've been buying a lot of my parts through them for awhile now and its an actual Honda dealership in Colorado. They're usually pretty good about sending parts without issue.

Yea, it definitely is the right supplier, I'm surprised it made it through QC but Bucci is Italian so Giuseppe may not have had his espresso that day

Yeah that's what I was expecting, but those huge gaps are definitely not right.

If you have the chance that would be great. I'm also curious if it has the clear packing (?) tape over the blue sticker.

Yes, yes it does. That's also sketchy. I have no idea how a dealer would end up with a bootleg part though... But who knows.

They probably just saw the bubble wrap bag and didn't actually look at the spoiler itself. I've bought several parts from them before and never had issues. Hopefully they're easy to deal with for returns.

As a follow-up, here’s what the box label and Bucci inner label looks like on mine (bought in 2023 direct from a Honda dealership in Missouri). Apparently mine was produced in 2022. Regarding the Honda sticker on the wing, it’s a white sticker (with black print) and clear blue protective tape over it. I remember that distinctly, because I decided to remove the blue tape from mine before installing the wing on my car. Hope this helps! Am I weird for keeping all this stuff? Hahaha!
