1st oil change yesterday at 5K miles. Some things to note:
1.) #3 Phillips head drivers work fine in the 4 screws. No issues and I've used #3 Phillips for a decade on a CRV (screws still like new). I put some Permatex anti-seize on the rear threads before reinstalling, since there was more friction than I liked.
I used a wide blade driver in the 1/4 turn fasteners.
2.) 5-1/2 quarts of 5W-30 topped up the level per the dip stick (which sucks as most agree).
3.) I installed a Mishimoto PCV catch can at around 1000 miles. It had roughly 2 tablespoons of oil in it.
Mishimoto uses an unusual hex size screw between the bracket and can, so I swapped in conventional socket head cap screws (M4 x 8mm) which have a common 3 mm wrench size.
4.) I have an ancient set of ramps, and some wood plank pre-ramps, so no jacking. I saw the front center jack point, and it's way under there.
5.) OEM filter and new crush washer.
All is good,
Cheers
