Its annoying after a while. Washing car and you get the peep , peep over and over again. Was wondering if there’s a fob sequence to temporarily disable key. I know Toyota has a key fob function to temporarily disable the key from working/ Transmitting. Thanks.

Not sure if there is a sequence to disable the fob but I just leave the keys in the car. The doors wont lock, no more annoying beep. If by some weird occurrence they do lock, I can use my second set of keys or the app to open the car but that has never been an issue for me. Hope this helps.

As others mentioned just leave the key inside or put them out of range of transmitter. I usually leave the key in garage on the table, while I’m washing my car…
Never leave your keys inside at a power washing place. Sure fine for a home

Honda claims that if you leave your keyfob in the vehicle, it will not lock. It is ill-advised, unless you've subscribed to Honda-link.

I should have clarified, in my scenario I am washing my car in the safety of my home. I agree with the idea of not leaving the keys in the car while washing at a public washing facility.

If you're out at a wash bay, maybe get one of those rf blocking pouches.

Good thing it doesn't have an auto opening hatch... That is always a PITA

I was hoping that Honda had a legit solution for this matter. I unfortunately don’t own a home, I wash it in public bays. I live in a rough city, San Bernardino I don’t trust leaving my keys inside the car. I guess I’ll need to get used to it. Beep beep. 🤣

Faraday pouch is the way. And you should always leave your keys in this type of pouch, to prevent relay attack against the car.

If car still beeps with the FOB in a faraday pouch, the pouch is not working. That is the way to know if it works or not (you'd be surprised that many pouches do not work!).

I will try this. Hopefully it’s not to bulky.
