Maybe it's clarified somewhere and I missed it. How come map switching is disabled under something like 15mph? So that people stopped don't accidentally try while holding the clutch and change their launch rpm?

Example: my device isn't plugged in it's at home by the computer. I stop and get gas and now am going through the parking lot to the stop sign where I have to merge onto a busy highway but I have to do so on my low boost valet mode map because I never got the chance to switch back yet.

I haven't been able to think of a scenario where being able to switch maps while at a complete stop would be a problem.

You mean it's not clarified or not disabled? My long-press of the cancel button won't hijack the tach until I'm moving somewhere in the area of 15mph. And if I reach that speed and get it to take over, press + to get to desired map but drop below that speed I can't long-press cancel to make the tach resume normal operation again until I've passed the ~15mph threshold

The feature as written is not disabled other than Cruise Main being enabled. If Honda is purposely ignoring the buttons at those speeds for some reason that'd be the only way, but that has nothing to do with us or our code. I've never been unable to engage or change options when stopped or moving.

Ok. I moved where I mounted the v2 so eventually it will find a new permanent home and not be an issue it's just been annoying while I'm not running it in the car since I have to switch back every time I start the car. Weird that it doesn't ignore those buttons while stopped and the clutch is pressed though.

I agree. I'll see if I'm able to replicate in the near future to give you a definitive answer to them ignoring. You may want to try just holding it longer and see if that works.

Did you just send me an over the air update? :doh: lol

Allow me to stake claim as the village idiot on this I've...
I swear I've been changing maps so many times every day since I pulled the V2 out June 23rd to get my windows tinted and I always felt like it wouldn't work until I was moving at a decent speed. Just tried it again and held it longer but it worked. So I kept trying scenarios like 0-5 5-10 10-15, econ on/off etc... To try and find a scenario it wouldn't work... Needless to say it always worked and better yet I even feel like it only takes the normal-long-press I'd gotten used to making it work while rolling.

:bonk::fear:
