FL5 Civic Type R lowered on H&R springs

so i’m guessing most (if not all) lowering springs for the fk8 fit the fl5? i’m considering to get the rsr down sus spring, but i’m afraid for fitment and ride issues.

Just installed the te37 on the fl5. Its also on eibach sportline springs.

Good question, usually H&R springs are progressive. H&R knows that fk8 and fl5 have adaptive dampers so hopefully they are linear. Tomorrow I can call H&R and ask. But By the look of the springs I believe they are linear.

I think should be a bit softer/ more compliant than stock

commuting - individual mode with suspension in comfort.
back roads - sport
track - R+

I don't want my teeth rattled out when I'm driving to work!

Jayson what size is that downpipe and front pipe? Does he need the car to make these parts, Or he can make and ship with guaranteed fitment?

If I remember correctly, Down pipe was 4” and gradually went down to 3 inches. The front pipe is 3 inches. The fitmen was spot on and bought the part from him without bringing my car.

Btw, I did got a custom 3” SS exhaust that mates to the 3” front pipe. I did add a vibrant 3” ultra quiet resonator and ended up with the oem tips. Didn’t wanted to mess up with the center tip valve. Sounds a little bit louder way better now, something this car lacks big time from factory.
