Pics took same day as install. Hoping rears settle a little bit more but overall I'm surprised at the drop, I was expecting less. I'd probably go H&R if I did it again. Comfort & sport feel like stock, +R feels better. HUGE PITA for install. Drivers side took me about 3-4h on it's own, everything else was pretty easy. Suggest two people as moving the steering wheel helped getting the drivers side to seat. Remove your axle nut to help with axle popping out, I didn't and damaged one of my axle seals so I get to do it all over again this weekend.

I ended up going with H&R because I wanted just a slight drop. I like the way the car looks now with some 20mm spacers all around. The ride quality feels about the same as stock, maybe slightly less harsh over rough roads. My only complaint is the springs are slightly uneven. I took measurements prior to my install and a few months after.

These measurements are from the top of the stock wheel rim to the bottom of the fender.

Stock measurements:
3 7/8” - Front Driver side
3 7/8” - Front Passenger side
3 6/8” - Rear Driver side
3 6/8” - Rear Passenger side

With H&R measurements:
3 1/8” - Front Driver side
3 2/8” - Front Passenger side
2 15/16” - Rear Driver side
3 1/16” - Rear Passenger side

So the driver side is 1/8” lower than the passenger side, and the rear is 3/16” lower than the front (which is 1/16” more than when it was stock). Is that within normal tolerances or did I get really unlucky with my springs? Had them professionally installed by the best shop in town.

Lemme guess. You typically drive without a passenger, right? Every car I've lowered (5) has always started with the passenger side of the car higher than the driver side.

Yes I rarely have a passenger. But in my case the passenger side is higher than the driver side.

My bad...that totally came out all wrong. My passenger sides ALWAYS start out HIGHER than the drivers side. Will edit my OG post.

That's funny because I just noticed the same thing on my recent Eibach install. Drivers side is lower than the passenger side by about 1/4". You can see it in the pics above, but it's also lower than I expected which is what has me a bit worried.

Yes - but it usually takes a couple months to even out.

Researching springs and debating between the Eibach's vs the Swift's, I value more track performance than street compliance which be the one to go with ?

Also I found that with lowered cars usually call for a 'roll center correction' kit to really compensate for the drop (when I installed these new joints onto a lowered STI it made it handle better), is that something people do for the FL5 Type R ?

reading post 37 and 38 makes me feel better. Just noticed this as well. Eibach pro kit. Driver side rear is lower but then again, less than 50 miles of driven after install.

I remember watching a vid from an Eibach engineer who said that the springs don't settle as much as the bushings and rubber in the suspension adjust to the lower positions of everything.

This makes sense as to why the drivers side is lower than everything else as those bushings have been adjusting to our weight and the other ones haven't had the time and mileage to 'wear in'.

I've normally put suspension on a used car and the bushings have moved from their factory position already due to time and so the height of the corners is more even right after install.

I'm still happy with my setup. The rest of the springs/bushings/whatever settled out on my Eibach's and the setup looks great. I snapped some pics on my winter 18s pre-winter. No regrets.

No rubbing of bottoming out? How’s the ride with passengers? I got the same color waiting for it to come first week of Feb is delivery date.

No issues at all with the stock wheels or with the winter setup (18s). I sometimes have 3-4 people in the car when driving wife/nephew/brother, and no issues.
