I had the car for about four months. did 7000KM.
I have noticed a diffrence when shifting gears it feels smoother (not in good way) it feels less mechanical since i changed engine oil two weeks ago.
I know that it is normal for the gear to shift smoother with use But I expected the process to take longer time, also I did not feel a difference until the last two weeks.
Is there anything that I can do to retain or restore the mechanical feel?

Try changing to a light delrin shift knob. Weighted knobs kill a lot of feel, stock knob is a decent balance. Hybrid racing chicane knob feels really good for me.

Noticed the same, but I'm happy its smoothing out. However, mine is just related to the fact that it's getting warmer. In the cold there's a lot more feel as it moves through the paces and that feeling is completely gone now that my area is in well into the 80's.
