Keep in mind that just because it’s 40°F outside, doesn’t mean your tires have reached ambient temps while sitting on an enclosed, cold, concrete slab. That’s why I waited until it was plenty warm for a few days before moving my car. I opened my garage to let warm air in and cold air out too.
Yeah that's a fair point. Man I can't wait for the temps to go up! Seriously debating switching to a milder tire with a higher side profile but I have a dedicated beater with winters on so on the fence.

Yeah…it’s been a harsh winter and I’m ready for lasting warm temps too! It’s been up down up down here for the last month-ish. Because we got another cold snap and little snow again this week, they salted the roads (again)…after being basically clean! Now I gotta wait until the damn salt is mostly gone (again) even though temps are looking great today and thru next week. Patience will pay off! (I tell myself)

I’m dying to pull my car from storage! We had a hard rain the other night and the roads are clean, so 🤞. Trying not to get my hopes up because as soon as there’s a drop of moisture on the road and it’s near 32 degrees, those salty bastards will be out spoiling the roads🤬

A-salting the roads like they work for McDonald’s!

As this started in early November (with cold temperatures(?)); it's more likely the tires were underinflated causing vibrations, or you've thrown a wheel weight, than a cold tire flat-spotting issue. Make sure pressures are correct and if vibrations continue have the tire(s) re-balanced before purchasing new tires.

Yeah I'm not going to jump on the decision of getting a replacement set till I see whether they replicate that behavior in warmer temps.....I have balancing being off at the back of my mind but when I took it out for a drive last week I adjusted the pressures to recommended spec and the vibrations reduced a bit (still not anything near normal though). There is also that thumping sound at low speeds which prompts me to lean towards flat spotting. It's a consistent "thump thump thump" which increases in frequency as speeds increase.

Are you on PS4's? If so a damaged tire/wheel is more likely than a flat spot. How low were the pressures and at what temp were they at when checked/adjusted?

It was about 50F when I readjusted the pressures to the recommended spec. They were at 37psi front and 35psi rear initially (I had filled them to spec at a much colder temperature the last time so at 50F the pressures were higher). I am on PS4S yes, however, this vibration isn't consistent; it changes with air pressure and also has gradually gotten worse over winter with decreasing temps, not a sudden change, which hopefully means no rim damage.

Driving on PS4's in colder temperatures is a challenge for the tires, handling, and safety; keep it parked or invest in better "weather" tires.

Oh yeah, it got flat spots because it was parked for so long. When I said I filled it previously at a much colder temperature it was for leaving the car in the garage, not for driving around, to clarify. I have a CR-V as my winter car, the FL5 has seen a bit of snow once and that too in Utah not here. I'll see by how much the vibrations reduce in a month, else I'll go for 35 profile all-seasons.......

Update: tire shop found that one rim is bent (not a visible bent but looks like it isn't a perfect circle anymore, they showed me a video of the tire rotating on the balancing machine, and yeah it looked slightly uneven). They did mention that one of their other branches fixes such rims but not sure......what do you guys think? Ever faced a similar situation before?

Hey guys looks like rim straightening didn't make it perfectly stable as before; planning to keep this as a spare and get a new rim; from the dealers it's generally around $750-$800, and hondapartsnow has it around $520. Planning to go that route unless someone knows a better option!

You might be able to find someone here who will sell one used, but usually people are selling them as a set of 4.

Yeah finding one is difficult, and I don't need 4. However, if anyone comes across someone selling one or if there's a better site than HondaPartsNow, just let me know! Appreciate the help! TIA!
