Great, even less real exhaust sound and more piped in fake exhaust sound are coming...

Like they say on Shark Tank, “I’m out.”

I am not sure you know this, but Japan, and Europe has a lot of new sound regulations. This is why a lot of European cars can not rev in neutral anymore. This is also why there are rumors that the FL5 will not get a mid cycle refresh as there's a new law in Japan that requires less noise in 2026.

I hope they don't make the type R into another EV. There are too many EVs as it is. Smh

EV sales are dying off big time so doing that would shoot them in the foot, plus Toyota is building the Celica with an ICE and AWD from reports. GR86 supposedly gonna get the new 2.0 inline 4 in 26. Honda leaving ICE when sports car sales are shooting up would be a bad idea.

So they basically got junk from the NISMO/HOMO partnership.

I just wish they put the VR38DETT (engine from the GTR) in a new Type R or Type S model
TLX AWD would make more sense. The rear wheels wont touch the ground with a v6 in it ?

I bought the Type R to avoid ever buying an EV car. I'm retired, so the CTR is not racking up commuting miles.
We have an EV already, a golf cart, and it sucks for range due to our hilly neighborhood. Also it is slower when weather is hot (motor overtemp protection) or cold (battery chemistry).
