That’s a fair question! The early versions were constrained by my original manufacturing process and materials. As the business grew and I moved to CNC manufacturing, I was able to rethink a lot of the design.

Every revision also came from real customer feedback—improving fitment, installation, adjustability and overall appearance.

It’s a simple product, but I don’t think good products ever stop evolving.

Check out @CoolcarCrapcar on YouTube. He has quite a few interesting videos on the FL5, including content on his own Type R.

In this one, he takes a look at the latest iteration of FX3D Design's V5 Adjustable Rock Guards.

I currently have the previous version that is 3D printed and has the Type R badging on the mesh grill for the front guards. Was on the fence about version 5 and really like the upgraded materials, but not a fan of the glossy side or the omission of the Type R logo with this version. Maybe v6 might be the one I upgrade to if those things change. ;)
