Help on tire place on central Texas

Did someone here on Texas I’m located a central Texas don’t mind travel a bit, but some has knowledge or a reputable place that can install tires on the OEM wheels? I bought a whole new wheel with a new center cap and valve. Guess what happened took it to a place that they only work on aftermarket wheels and before never had issues till today. The scratch isn’t huge like the ones were make by the dealer on the wheel I replaced because the paint job to repair by the dealer looked good for 3 months now is all messed up, that’s why I bought a new wheel and got messed up too!

The other option I have when is time to replace the tires buy a full set of wheels that aren’t complicated to work with. Because I will not be buying one wheel every time someone else messes up and doesn’t want to take responsibility either the whole thing was $650 also was charge a core fee. Sorry but I’m really frustrated on pictures probably I’m making a huge deal for it but I can’t understand it really.

Where did you go? Even Discount Tire is perfectly fine to use for OEM wheels.

We're in far north texas so that's probably not reasonable for you to come by just for wheels/tires, but just find a shop that uses plastic heads on the machine and helper arms on the machine.

Looking at those OEM wheels I wouldnt trust them with trailer steelies, much less aftermarket or OEM car wheels. Thats a hack job and looks like they used the 2-spoon method and a metal headed de-beader when mounting them from the damage I see.

Did you go back to them to have them reimburse or repair the damage they caused?

I use a tire shop that has a Hunter tire changer and I have not had any signs of marring/damage on multiple sets of tires/wheels.

On the other hand, I've had my tires changed at Costco and never had an issue, aside from their wait times.

In other words, any shop that takes their time and uses the correct tools should be able mount tires without damaging them and I would ask for a reimbursement and switch it up next time.

Yes I went back but like most independent shops didn’t want to take responsibility I even took the wheel out off the car. But really won’t even bother to go anymore. I look to see if they have the plastic head and helper arms.

The store opened at 9:00 a.m. and I was the second person to be help the shop was empty. Yes I asked to get reimbursed for the damage but it’s was like taking to a wall.

Discount Tire in Austin did perfect. I asked if they had a reverse mount machine before going.
