Just FYI, installed my TSP DP last weekend with the lava DP blanket & turbo blanket & the Dream heat shield fit on top of both of them like a Dream. Just FYI & pardon the Dad joke. Not easy to see, but if you zoom in on the DP, you can see the springs on the blanket.
Also, there are build threads and then there is THE build thread. So well done.

Don’t know if you do a considerable amount of driving in this car, but the amount of mods that you have—these mounts I’m considering them over the Spoon, of course, because they are more affordable and I don’t need to wait for my great-grandchildren to be born to receive them after paying for them🤣. Because they are a "small company,” but if they are really good, let us know. I was thinking of going with the street bushings regardless; I don’t go to the track, and where I live there are some carved roads, but not too many either. I just enjoy the drive of the car.
Just took the first 12 mile drive to work with the pmm installed. At redline shifts you can feel the mount doing work and keeping everything moving closer to one unit. There's minor added nvh at idle, that's mainly coming through the steering wheel.

Yeah I'd skip on Spoon as they're produced by Hardrace and right now there's a big delay in parts from them that I've noticed. Friend's shop delisted a bunch of their parts due to people complaining about the changing etas.

Right now the goal is to mod the car to street level madness then track it as much as possible and see what times I can lay down at all the SoCal tracks. Oh and take it to the canyons to enjoy as well. 🤙

First of all thank you for the fatherly pun. I too am a big believer in Dreams. Especially in Automotive ones. 😆😑 I'm still rocking my stock downpipe.. Waiting on that SBX order I placed 3 months ago. 🙏 I'll look into their lava blanket now. Might as well mod incoming. 😂

I feel your pain. Took 2.5 months to get the cerakote TSP catted DP. My master installer snapped the only hidden stud on the turbo, had to drill it out, re-thread, etc. I got the Ti stud kit & he said he would not use Ti hardware on the turbo/DP because of heat issues. Used brass hardware where he could.
Breathing much better now with the DP & PRL FP. Turbo lag is almost non-existent. Lava blankets are helping to keep intake temps down too.

G-Loc Brake Pads secured for when boost season finally arrives in SoCal. 🥵 Went with R10 pads. I was thinking of doing R12 but I don't think I have enough experience to max use them properly without ruining my rotors and calipers.

It didn't look so bad until I broke a sweat trying to pull the damn thing out. Shit was at such a hard angle to pull out. My plug kit didn't work so I had to bring it to the shop near me and he used the old school repair cords with cement method. First time a mushroom plug failed after plugging like 15 tires over 10 years haha.

Dos preguntas...

1. Are these the "smoked" or "clear" lens version?
2. Regarding your comments on beam pattern - Any idea if these are JDM or EU? Just thinking about the horizon beam pattern cut for LHD vs RHD market

These are the smoked ones so they're exactly like the type r and si models. It'll be the LHD pattern since it's coming from the Philippines.

Bwahaha. The bags under my eyes are like UFOs searching for parts all through the night.

Update on the Cusco front lower brace....still didn't put it on. 😅 But I did redo the Cleib front lip. The rivnuts Cleib supplies aren't made for plastic. I can understand their thinking in putting rivnuts in the bumper instead of the lip since it'll be an easier install but they should provide slotted rivnuts so it'll crush into a cross with a larger bite area.

PXL_20260609_163947952.webp

I ordered these from Amazon but if anyone wants to do this I'd suggest finding the shortest slotted ones in m6. The ones I bought are 28mm tall.

Once you get to the front of the bumper (black grill piece) there's not enough space to fit them, I had to insert them at an angle and half crush them to get enough space to fully seat them to the bumper.

PXL_20260609_164210384.webp

Lip is now secured for more thrashing. I added black silicone to fill in any gaps, it's really not bad but I still have the tube from redoing the canards so I figured why not before it completely hardens haha.

Really love this build thread. Takes me back to the golden age of forums back in '99-'08 before everyone decided to jump to Facebook.

In regards to the Cleib, just curious if you had any pictures from underneath the bumper? Only pictures I could find were from the full diffuser version.

I've narrowed down my choice of front lips and this is one I'm interested in; but the rivnut stuff makes me hesitant. Not a huge fan of drilling extra holes but rivnuts seem better than self tapping screws that some other lips use.

How many rivnuts were needed and where exactly are they located? Just trying to get an idea of how difficult of an install this is.

Thank you for saying that! Definitely miss the glory days of forums. We running it back at the cost of my daughter's college fund! 🫠🥶

I'll take some photos for you when I get home today. It's not pretty under there haha. I think there's 10 pre-drilled holes on the lip. If you do get it make sure to get the plus nut one's so it'll put even pressure on a larger area. Helps with the softer material.

Another customized titanium piece from MugenFL5R. He's offering these badges and I asked to have it done black with just the "R" in burnt finish. It came out perfect! Looks like Honda offered these themselves.

Fitment is spot on. Removing the oem badge was somewhat annoying but I managed to remove it with a heat gun and an old spark plug gapping tool I use for random shit like this haha.

Weather has cooled down and brought some much needed rain for SoCal....minus the flooding in Newport Beach area. Hopefully I can fit in some install parts time.

Long Beach got wrecked too. Really sucks. I do not miss living and working in Newport Beach.

More Improved Racing makes everything better. Setting things up for a custom oil cooler. On the FK8 I had the HKS one and that was great at keeping temps down on the track. Figured I try to put together something myself this go. 100% there's better off the shelf solutions from companies that have data to back up why it's worth our money buuuut I like making things difficult for myself. LFG. 😫🤣

Thanks to Kamispeed for getting this to me within 3 months. Bride Xero CS Plus Super Aramid Black Carbon Seat. Thought process was I want something more substantial in the holding department especially with my thighs and helmet. This is the medium halo from Bride which is still "street" legal.

Now I need to go on a diet as the fitment is kinda tight. Probably turn my 2 lumps of coal into diamonds, if you know what I mean. 😬 (This is how I'm going to justify explaining to my wife why I had to get this seat....positive reinforcement to get into better shape again.....also not to burst my balls on the track.)

I boxed it back up and put in the garage for now. Time to go jogging everyday for the next 3 months. If there's no updates after this I've parted out the car and moved on with a Cadillac for the plush seats.
