Same predicament as OP. but now that I learned about unsprung weight, I am looking at lighter weight wheels

Thanks,

I did not realize this about wheels / unsprung weight

I always thought about choosing wheels as just for looks, and I never cared much about vanity...

Which wheels would you recommend for lightest weight?

It is my daily driver (though I work from home, so it is more like a bi-weekly driver), mostly short trips, about 50-60 miles one way. I do not intend to race or track it. but I do enjoy driving "enthusiastically"...

as far as battery, I'd probably wait till the OEM battery dies, and reevaluate then

Mighty Max seem to have less complaints than Antigravity.

I want to keep same geometry as OEM, which I believe would be +60

and since I want a bit more side wall, i.e. 35 profile, I believe that I should go with 18" wheel with 265/35R18 tire and keep same wheel diameter as OEM, and 18" wheels/tires will reduce unsprung weight by another 2-3lb each corner vs the 19"

from quick/limited research seems that MITA is the only manufacturer of lightweight wheels with ET60 offset?

There are other custom wheel manufacturers similar to MITA that will build to your specifications. I can’t recall the other company that I found, but I remember seeing an outfit with a much bigger variety and a seemingly good reputation. I’ll look later when I have more time.

Also, Apex wheels makes at least 3 models for our cars in 18x9.5 with a ET58 offset, which is very close to OEM.

You should research tires also if you're so concerned about weight. Different manufacturers can varies up to 5lbs per tire!

I am not too concerned about unsprung weight, it is just that I only found out about the importance of unsprung weight yesterday. so naturally, being OCD, I started fretting and searching for lightest weight wheels (and 9lb LiFePO4 battery)
