Mita Motorsports Wheels

Looking at possible new wheels for my whip and I came across a few posts for Mita Wheels. Does anybody here have any experience with these? The specs look absolutely awesome ....... many diameters, widths, and offsets so you can really dial it in if needed. Good solid information seems to be somewhat lacking on the web. Thanks in advance for any and all replies ......... Dos ;-)

Late to the thread here. After reading Hammeredsole and your threads, and milling over my options for MONTHS, I made a decision.
Turns out that decision is the MITA Motorsports FKS wheel.
Thanks to both of y'all for lighting my path to his decision.

Wheels were ordered in the first week of May, 2025.
I have decided to go with:

Style: FKS wheel
Size: 18x9 inch
Inset / Offset: ET +45
Lug Pattern: 5x120
Center Bore: 64.1
Color: Hyper Silver

With these being completely custom wheels, the overall wait time is projected to be up to 120 days or so. That puts delivery between late August and early September, 2025.
I'll keep y'all posted.

18x9? Thats narrower than the stock wheel, why not 18x9.5 or 18x10?

I'm going for lighter weight than stock and adding some cushioning for a smoother ride. I'm one of those weirdos who bought a Type R for the highway, not for the track, so I want a smoother and (hopefully a bit) quieter ride than stock. I'd like to increase my ground clearance on top of that.
Looking to install a wider and taller tire on a narrower wheel, also, for protection from damage. I've already had the curb reach out and kiss my OEM FL5 Black wheel on the stock Michelin 265/30 ZR 19 tire. I've never liked the stock tire-to-wheel selection since I got the car. This tire size always seemed very precariously narrow and thin for this absolute unit of a massive wheel.

The current plan is to put the Mita FKS 18x9 wheel... and I know this sounds crazy, hear me out... on a 275/40 R 18 tire, for...
muh muh muh muh Maximum Chonk!

Still researching tires. Looking at All Season options like Continental DWS and Michelin Pilot Sport All Season. Both seem to be very good for year round highway tires. Perhaps an all season road tire will provide decreased rolling resistance than the Pilot Sport 4 S?, and therefore slightly better fuel economy as well...? Not too sure about that.
I know that adding taller and wider chonky tires will add significant weight to the overall package.
I'm hoping that the lightweight forged wheels should help offset that heavy tire for overall good weight distribution.

Also... almost forgot to mention!
I ordered a set of Honda Forged FL5 Type R wheels from College Hills Honda to replace the stock OEM Black wheels. The new Type R wheels will be going on some form of 275/35 ZR 19 tires. Probably Pilot Sport 4 S... just finally the right size this time.
Gonna have to get the speedo recalibrated.

Yes they do.
Something I never knew until I looked at the Mita Motorsports website.
Mita makes a few different clone Honda wheels as well.
I'm completely new to JDM performance cars, so this is all new to me.
I found a really good channel on YouTube called "LHT Performance" when I was researching Mita. It is a Honda performance shop in Florida who do a lot of work on Civics and S2000s. I don't remember top of head the shop owner's name, but he bought a set of those Mugen clone wheels for one of the cars and it looked really good.

Mita also has a VERY small YouTube channel called "MITA Studios" if anyone wants to see it. You can watch that whole channel in under 20 minutes.

Update.
I got TWO emails from Mita Motorsports this morning. It looks a sif my wheels have been manufactured and shipped from Japan to Hong Kong. From there they will get shipped to the US.

The first email from MITA LLC:

"Dear [Sporky],

So... the whole "Your Order Has Been Delivered - Share Your Feedback" thing threw me off a bit. I take it to mean that this is just a form email and that "Shipped N Feedback" header is just part of the format.
It won't make sense for me to respond with feedback, obviously, until I receive the package.

I know I'm coming in late, but I know Mita from the NSX world and they always made great products and were a known name to any of the NSX enthusiasts. I would 100% trust them for wheels and anything else they make for the car.
