Hey! Does anyone know a company that makes a muffler delete kit? I know MRT does but I don’t like the tips. I just want the Pipe and then I’ll order tips. Any info helps. Thanks! I don’t want the car super loud. Just a little more tone. Awe sounds great but again it’s a little too loud for me taste.

If you are looking for a slight upgrade in sound, consider a downpipe upgrade with the factory catback.

My son took his FK8 to a local exhaust shop and they did a muffler delete reusing the factory tips. Everything upstream of the mufflers stayed factory.
It's a bit loud for my tastes, but not loud enough to collect a police ticket.

You could do the procedure to pull the fuse for the active exhaust valve. This opens the center tip which is straight through.

Does that really sound better?

Agree with 2001, the benefit is in low rpm and startup, and with synthetic sounds off. It is great if you really don't want loud but are disappointed at how quiet it is - and it's free.

If you want more sounds throughout and at mid/upper rpm you will need a downpipe, resonator delete, or catback.

Its going to drone so bad without mufflers. Get a front and remove the mid resonator.

Use individual mode with engine sound to comfort, then do the fuse trick to improve low end sound. The fake sound is terrible. That said, from what others have said no exhaust or downpipe will make it sound fantastic, due to the integrated header.

First thing we did when we got the FL5 was pull the fake sound module, and do the fuse trick to open the valve permanently. It sounded good for stock, then we put on a HKS Hi-Power exhaust and it's great. Let us know if you'd like to explore aftermarket exhaust options - we sell many brands and models.

Other options are to do the two resonator deletes with the stock exhaust. That sounds good too and definitely increases volume and tone.
