Yep, last night four teenagers in hoodies and masks broke my drivers side door to get in and went through the glovebox. Didn't steal the car (maybe having a manual is a detterent) I know I'm lucky they didn't take it or get into the house but I'm so angry . Work had at a tough job, buy your dream car and some little rat tries to take it.

We have a carport so any recommendations on beefing up security would be greatly appreciated.

Ugh! I’m so sorry man. That’s so stressful and really makes you feel uncomfortable in your own car for a while :/.

As above get a camera that has a motion light. I have an arlo, wireless battery light, light is crazy bright, 2 spotlights. Not only will light shit up but you get some good footage

New house, new dog.

Keep your car 100% empty of everything and keep the glove box open. If a thief sees nothing in the car, no point in breaking in.

Shot gun trap. Kidding but must be tempting!

Thanks. Yeah it sucks that you look after your car. Be really careful with maintenance and looking after the paint and then some random trashes it.

Thanks. Great minds. I bought a few cameras with lights and a massive baseball bat.

Man sorry that happened, those people that broke into your car are some real garbage and no one deserves to have their car treated like that. I got this obd lockout from Vargas after watching a tommyg youtube video that demonstrated how easy it could be for someone to start almost any car just with access to the obd port: https://vargasturbo.com/product/vtt-obd-lock-odb-port-locking-tool/
I'm sure it's not infallible but the layer of security gives me a little extra comfort.

Edit: Other obd port lockouts would work too, I chose this one to hopefully make it less likely that thieves would have some common key type that they might just find off of amazon or something
