The "save the car" reaction that I had was backwards from what it should have been. A good friend of mine, and a brilliant racecar driver said, "When racing we often go to 11/10 or even 12/10, what separates the good drivers from the great drivers is those that have the skill and ability to dial it back to 10/10." He didn't beat me up about my mistake, but offered advice on how it could have been saved instead.Thank you. Just trying to learn. I have done numerous take days but none in a front drive car. I have a few track days coming up and your accident has made me a little gun shy. It has made me rethink how transferable my other track experience is to FWD and specifically to the FL5. Thank you for sharing your experience and being so open. I know that I will be better off because of you and so will many others.
I've been pleasantly surprised by the number of people giving good feedback and offering sound advice. It helps us all, and is ultimately the point of the channel I made. Every once in a while we all have to eat the humble pie, and humble pie is always made of experience, and nobody ever said that experience tasted good!
Don't have any fear out there, the car plants itself exceptionally well. Yes, +R is bouncy in some spots, but as long as your foot is on the gas, you're going to be just fine!
