Rear camera guide lines not aligned properly?

Hey all! I just picked up a 24 fl5 a few months ago and I was wondering if anyone else was having the same issue with their reverse camera. the guide lines seem offset to the passenger side so it makes it seem i'm parked too far over to the right even though I am within the lines. Is this just how honda reverse cameras are or is this something I should have the dealer take a look at? My last honda was an 02 s2000 so didn't have to worry about cameras back then haha. Thanks!

I believe the dotted line is supposed to be where your bumper actually is comparable to the grid.

oh gotcha, i didnt know that! thats good info. I was actually talking about the vertical guide lines though and how in the camera it makes it look like the car is parked on/outside the lines when i'm actually inside. I pulled out of the parking spot a bit just to get a better view of the lines in the camera.

Oh, well that makes more sense on why you're out so far, helps if I actually read it again lol. Its possible that it may be off, the dealer should be able to recalibrate it if needed.

This civic has the worst rear view camera of any car I have owned that came with one from the factory.

I find the camera is actually showing a foot and a half farther than what the camera says

I was thinking that initially too but i realized that if the camera placement was causing the offset the lines would be offset to the left but currently its offset to the right .

Ah, you're right. In your picture, the camera is closer to the side with the single white line, but the rear view shows that the angle is over towards the double white lines. This is strange.

Yup.
Just got mine about a month ago and it does this too. I have to open the door to make sure I'm not to far on one side or the other. Mine also seems like it's closer than it actually is.

I’ll have to check mine to . I know on Friday nights I just close one eye and it lines up perfectly
