Spoon Springs with ITS ADS Module

I am going to be getting spoon springs soon. I recently changed to a 275/35R18 tires on +40 wheel set up. I also have the Type S ADS module which I have had for a few months.

The tire is a Advan Apex v601

I was unhappy with the change in the driving characteristics of the car. It felt way to soft and floaty for my preferences. Steering also felt more numb. I have had 20mm spacers on the car for quite some time so nothing was due to moving to the +40 offset.

I recently went back to the Type R ADS and the stiffness is perfect. The drama is there when I want it in +R mode but not nearly as bumpy when on the 265/30r19's. The +R mode is very usable with the 275/35r18 tire.

I just hope the addition of the Spoon springs doesnt take any more edge away from the dampening and steering.

I couldn’t believe how beefy the Spoon Spring's are compared to the stock ones . It was like going from Angel Hair spaghetti to linguine ?

When I had my downpipe installed I had 2 studs that were stripped from the factory, my car didn’t even have 2,000 miles.

Just don’t want to run into another common problem if any

No different risks then any other spring installs. I think I would look for another shop if I were you .
Spoon Springs are some of the best for our FL5 all around from my research . The only issues you will have is from a less then desirable shop doing the install .
What state are you in ?

I just ordered some spoon springs too and they will go on with the ITS module. Did not even think about this until running into this thread. IMO the ADS is a must if you want to run +R, it actually made it usable on track, feels great now, street Sport is now perfect. I do use comfort only on highway as its too vague for street driving. I am wondering how it will be with the spoon springs. I just can't imagine they will make the car softer. I care about how they will feel in +R, hopefully will feel similar as it is now because its pretty great

Your going to love The Spoon Springs im so glad I was patient enough To wait as they were on back order when I got mine . I’m loving the ADS Swap Spoon Combo to ??

I already have the ITS ADS module installed on my car and am about to install the revised Spoon springs. Is it going to be too soft? Should I go to back to the stock ADS module? Daily driven street car - no track use. Terrible roads.

I just installed Spoon Springs and i have the ITS module. I’ve been breaking them in maybe for about 70 miles already. I’m on 18x9.5 with 275/35 tires.

I’m in NY the roads aren’t the best but the ride is def nice. I usually cruise in comfort and R mode mostly. No complaints, idk if i want to put back the CTR module but curious what others are doing. I don’t track the car mostly looking for comfort out of the drive.

I have the same in order. Since you’ve been running for awhile, any issues or wish you would’ves? I’m still unsure of long term.

No issues I loved the Spoon Springs and Bonoss spacers. Great ride and looks

The Integra forums are saying all springs will make the car handle worse on the track.

After driving track with the spoon springs, I thought it felt even better? I had faster lap times with the springs though im sure a big part of it was just seat time. But from a feeling perspective, the car felt better in corners so I highly disagree with the springs negatively affecting performance. However, they did mention that if the allignment is wrong then I agree that it will negatively affect the performance. But, I assume you will get an allignment after the spring install anyway.
