My local CU quoted me 4.23% and I have a near 800 credit score. Sadness

I wouldn't even bother with cali dealers, I'd look out at mid west. Maybe Utah or Idaho in a remote small town.

yea, but the dealer I'm getting from up near Canada, is also at $10k adm.

Talked to a different local dealership (US) and they said they would offer at MSRP but the guy was not helpful at all -- I effectively had to beg to give him my info.

Oh you stay away from our CTRs, sure it's the parking sensors or you just want a CTR at MSRP?

Sucks Honda can't do anything about this or doesn't want to. They shouldn't allow dealers to do these mark ups. I still think it's insane to pay a mark up. Don't get me wrong I really want a CTR and I think it's better in every way over EN, but is it really worth 20k more than a EN? I don't think so... Or another car EN just the one that comes to mind. I bet you can also get a Golf R at MSRP.

12k is like a month's salary for workers nearing the poverty line in the Bay area. Sadly, plenty of buyers for twice the ADM up there.
