Yeah, and this winter is pissing me off! I actually daily my FL5! :) But with the bitter cold (which makes it REALLY FAST!) and salt and icy-ness....I can't get traction to really see what this thing has! :) So bummed. Even with the all season's on it, it has so much get up and go that the tires are always breaking loose! LOL....

Maybe in a few months......

Throw some winter tires on that Ariel Atom & go snow mobiling! lol
Hah! Interestingly enough, Im thinking of selling it come spring. The last time I drove it, I was on a long straight backroad doing about 40. Some idiot coming the opposite way crossed the double yellow line completely. I had no run off, no emergency lane. He must have woke up or looked up from his cell. Between my braking and his emergency lane change back into his lane, we missed each other by about a foot. Honestly though I was going to die. Haven’t driven the Atom since. That was in August of last year. Just can’t bear selling the thing.

I feel your pain...in CT too. The kicker is that I started to build a garage / shop late fall and it won't be done until the spring. Until then, my CTR has it's own "Fortress of Solitude" 🦸‍♂️

P.S....I did carefully dig it out

OH MY GOD! So glad you are building a garage for her next season! She is going to be so moody now come springtime. J/King

LOL

I'm really excited and can't obviously wait...a life long dream getting realized. I hate to say it though but, I feel like my project is causing all this winter chaos. I said more than once during the fall that we were going to get hit hard this year because we've had several mild winters in a row AND I'm trying to build a garage

Central Mass here. This winter has been a real ball buster. I’m counting the days until I can take the FL5 out of storage, usually mid April is safe.

The roads in this state are atrocious. Every state bordering us, except RI, has far nicer roads. I was on I90 yesterday, which they’ve repaved a good deal of, but for whatever reason, they seem to skip the bridges. The bridges look and feel like a patchwork quilt made of concrete and asphalt. There are roads I drive on around here that have sections so bad that I literally stand on the dead pedal to lift myself out of my seat when I approach them. 🤣 That’s how jarring they can be.
Last week I drove by a road crew using a shovel to "refill" potholes on the highway. They'd just shovel a load of asphalt onto the hole and keep driving. And there were multiple vehicles and like 10 guys watching the shovel guy.

Sometimes I go along roads in my company Nissan Rogue and I'm like "thank god I'm not driving the Type R."

If you do a track day they always tell you that you drive toward what you're looking at. He probably thought he saw a spaceship. 😄

Yeah, it seems like those pothole “repairs” are completely useless, at least the way the DPW crews do it. Just throw it in the hole and off they go! No tamping it down or anything.

I drive a completely different route to work when in the Type R. It’s a little longer and more boring, but that’s preferable to beating the crap out of my suspension!

Geez, that is a lot of snow you guys are dealing with. It's crazy how opposite the weather is compared to here in Southern California. It was 88 degrees today and I had my AC on.
