Tow Strap Install

Im only posting this on here because I’ve been trying to find a solution for FUNCTIONAL tow strap install for track day use and had yet to find anything on anything. Searched countless forums and would only ever encounter tow straps/hooks for cosmetic purposes and not functional for track. FINALLY, found someone on fb asking about brake lines, HE HAD A FUNCTIONAL TOW STRAP ON HIS 11th GEN SI. I asked and he answered! (Shout out Evan from Facebook lol). Yesterday I installed one for myself and I am pleased to say that it is functional indeed. For anyone looking for answers. I hope this helps.

take off the bumper and drill a hole in the crash bar. theres a black plastic surrounding that you may wanna take off before. where you drill the hole is where you wanna install the tow strap and feed it through the grille once its back on.

After you carefully take off the front bumper and grill, you'll remove the rubber/plastic cover and some of the air ducting to see the exposed crash bar. I took measurements to make sure that the strap would feed through one of the bottom grill slots. Drill through the front of the crash bar and mount the strap on the back of the crash bar. You can then feed the strap up and over the crash bar and feed it through the grill slot. I used a black plastic zip tie to keep the strap attached to the grill. Otherwise it might fall back between the crash bar and radiator.

If you get the straps from SiriMoto, you'll need to go to the hardware store and get some shorter grade 8 bolts. I also used some washers and locktite.

For the rear, I removed the bumper assembly and drilled up through the bottom of the crash bar. The rear strap is mounted on the bottom of the crash bar with more bolts and washers from the hardware store. I used a dremel to cut a slot through the plastic bumper and fed the strap through the slot.

Got my strap installed yesterday. Went ahead and got it bolted down to the crash bar as suggested above.
