I may not be the oldest person on this forum - but I am a boomer.
So, yeah, I can drive a stick. It was my very first car back in the '70's, and glad to be in a manual now. A much, much faster and overall better car.
Not everything was better then, car wise.

My wife, who will be 75 next month, drives the 2018 Accord listed in my profile. She's making noises about wanting a car with a manual.
Before the Accord, she had a 2017 Subaru WRX, a 2013 Civic Si, a 2010 5-speed Accord, and a 2007 Civic Si. There are a couple of Si-s available locally.

Your wife has great taste in cars and transmissions.
Probably decent taste in husbands as well.

While our other car currently is not a manual, we an both drive a stick.

Got mine on my 31st birthday and definitely understand the feeling that your think you are too old for a particular car. I came from a 2020 STI and THAT made me feel too old with the exhaust and big wing. IMO this car is classier and much more understated. Definitely gets just as many looks though

43. I’ve have a good number of cars over the years. My first Honda was a new ‘06 Civic Si. Also had a new 2012 Civic Si, which I miss to this day. Got my FL5 three weeks ago and it feels like nothing I’ve owned previously. There’s something very special about this car.

My first car was a 99 Civic DX auto. I hated rolling up windows. I learned how to drive on the car and traded it in for a new 2000 Civic Si EBP. Loved the car. You’re right about this FL5 feels nothing like the first Civic Si in the states.
