Looks good man! Love the brake calipers, and enjoying following the build!
Much appreciated! I just dropped off a new valve cover yesterday to powdercoat/paint shop, and they’ll be matching it to the same color, which I think will look epic!

Speaking of engine bay and coatings, that reminded me about this addition from last weekend.

SEIBON Dry Carbon Strut Bar! It's the only full carbon fiber bar we've come across, and it’s only available in matte, so I had a friend apply a clear coat to bring it up to gloss and match the rest of the carbon in the bay.

Even with the coating, it weighs in under 2lbs. I'm used to these things being 4-5lbs and up. No claims about handling improvement, it just looks good.

ARK Exhaust

I've had the ARK Exhaust on my FL5 for just over two months now, and it has a really clean tone both inside and outside the car. You can run it with or without the center resonator. As someone in his 30s with a wife and a baby, I definitely prefer the resonated setup since it cuts down on in-cabin NVH. I think the younger and/or wilder crowd will probably enjoy the non-resonated version more.

There's no real drone around town with the resonated setup. I only noticed a bit of it with the non-resonated version. I did a 50-mile drive with the cruise set at 75 mph, and while there was some cabin noise with the resonated setup, it was completely livable. Personally, I wouldn't have wanted to do that same drive with the non-resonated version.

Keeping it around 67–70 mph is the sweet spot. I was able to reduce cabin decibel levels to 73db, compared to 76db as seen in the video that I shared here on Reddit. That drop represents a very noticeable drop in in-cabin volume.

For reference, this is with the stock downpipe and front pipe. I usually rank exhausts as mild, medium, or loud. The resonated ARK sits on the lower end of medium, while the non-resonated version is on the higher end of medium. To me, loud is stuff like the AWE Track Edition Exhaust or Tomei Type D. A resonated ARK paired with an upgraded downpipe and front pipe would be a really nice combo.

Build quality is excellent. From the packaging to the welds, material quality, and overall finish, you can tell a lot of effort went into making this exhaust. Overall, pretty satisfied with my time testing out the ARK! Anyone who has heard it inside or outside has complimented the sound as well 🙂

I just found this ARK DT-S exhaust < I guess I have been living under a rock> but this is the tone I am looking for. I just saw a YT short of a Blue Type R ( someone said it has a DP/FP) but damn it sounded near perfect(IMO). For reference I currently have the AWE Touring and it is starting to get on my nerves as I think it is simply too loud for me <get off my lawn>. Curious as you've tested the DT-S should I grab the reso or non -reso to achieve the sound of the blue FL5 in that video ? Please bear in mind I am not going to put on a FP/DP. Cheers

UPDATE: I just saw your full vid on YT <not sure why I didn't do that prior to asking> but the reso on stock is chef's kiss. Anyone want to buy a AWE touring ? Less than 1500 miles on my car now.

A lot can be tackled with a lift and some good friends supporting you :)

I thoroughly enjoy this process of unboxing, installing, and living with a new exhaust every so often.

The ranking on the bottom of the post would be for daily-ability. From the ones I've tested, Hybrid Racing's exhaust, re-using the OEM valve could be what you're looking for.

I still have the Legamax, Revel, and Remark Q-spec on my list to try out eventually.
Do you ever plan on testing the Fujitsubo? I know there's others who have tested it out, but I'd be interested in an opinion between the Fuji, Greddy SP and Legamax...
