So every now and then I'll get a weird noise when hitting the push button start. It last for about a second. Sounds like its coming from the push button itself or in the area of. Kind of like a buzzing sound. I'll try and get a video of this, just wondering if anyone has experienced this before. Battery is good, and car starts just fine. It's under warranty so I'll take it to the dealership, just hoping it's nothing crazy.

Yeah a video would help.

But the car does make noises when turning on, and especially after turning off.

When you turn on the car, do you press the start button without the pressing the clutch, and then press it again with the clutch pressed in?

Similar to turning the key to "ON" for a few seconds then starting the car.

If so it could be the fuel pump running or something.

Sort of a buzzing noise?

I hear a similar sound on my CR-V. Fuel pump. I think it's even mentioned in the manual.

The sound is coming from around the push button. Some where in that area. So that makes me think it's not a fuel pump priming. It's in the dash for sure. I tried getting a video last night. Started it up a few times, and it didn't make the noise. I'll just have to video every start up till it does it again.

I'll also add that it never made the sound before. I first heard it when I had about 4k miles on the car. My wife has even heard it, and asked what it was. Not sure if the push button itself is going bad or something with the ignition switch.

you sure its not a servo type sound from the steering wheel area?
With the car starting up fine and the battery being good. That quite possibly could be the culprit. I know I just need to take it to the dealership. I just know if they cant replicate the noise nothing will get done.

This is what I was thinking. You could try an experiment: with the ignition of, turn your steering wheel until it locks, that will put a little tension on it. Then when you start the car, watch and see if the wheel snaps back a few degrees at the same time you hear the noise.
