Hi.Did they give you an ETA of when they'll arrive? Looking forward to pics and hoping that you don't have to pay any import fees when they arrive.
So no ETA yet. MITA is staying in touch with me via email, though.
I had some concerns regarding import customs and MITA answered my questions with this response on June 10th:
Hello [Sporky],
Thank you for your detailed questions. Here’s the breakdown regarding your shipment:
1. We use a freight forwarder based in Hong Kong to optimize shipping costs. For confidentiality reasons, we do not disclose the forwarder’s name.
2. Your shipment will be imported through the Port of Entry in California.
3. Shipping terms for your order are Delivered Duty Paid (DDP). This means all U.S. Customs duties and fees are handled and prepaid on your behalf. You will not need to contact or pay U.S. Customs directly.
4. We provide tracking information; however, tracking updates will only commence once your wheels are unloaded and cleared through customs. There is no tracking available during ocean transit.
5. Once tracking is live, you can monitor shipment progress via the courier’s website. We recommend signing up for tracking alerts directly on the courier’s platform for real-time updates.
Regarding your shipment configuration, all wheels will be shipped together under one tracking number.
Please be patient as the tracking activates post-clearance. Let me know if you need further clarification.
Best regards,
MITA Motorsports
