I made the purchase using PayPal. I'm gonna see if buyer protection has me covered, and doesn't go against the seller since its not their fault.

Update: Denied cause it is past 30 days. My fault for not being more thorough, lesson learned.
thats a huge bummer man.. maybe whoever you bought it thru can give you a discount?

PRL tube and fin intercooler went in last night. Also installed the Hondata Canflex kit and picked up some E85 the other day. Since the nearest ethanol pump is 25 minutes from my house, I had to fill a couple of fuel cans to bring home. I felt like an old time moonshiner!

Just got this delivered. Made sure to go over this one very closely. It was packaged very well, wrapped in plastic and bubble wrap and suspended in foam peanuts. There's a little discoloration around some of the welds, but I can assume that's due to the heat from welding. Overall its a very good looking upgrade from the factory plastic that is prone to cracking.

Can't wait to get this installed this week.

I inspect welds. They could've done better with the welds for sure but it should be okay from what I can see. The left side lower corner start sucks.

Definitely could've been cleaner.

Good catch. That's exactly what turned me off of this unit when I posted it last year. And candidly, I was surprised something like this would come from Carbing. They typically turn out high quality pieces. For example, the Ti front strut tower bar they have is well done.

@Chilly613 I recall you had the Origin Fabrication unit and sold it new. Just curious, why did you part with it?

Origin Fabrication is a really nice unit, but I never installed it and ended up selling it for what I bought it for. I liked the design of the Carbing and wanted a silver expansion tank. I would've re-ordered Origin's in silver, but orders were closed. I was definitely a little iffy about the welds too, but have seen much worse work over the years. I bought it through RHD Japan so the cost buying from Japan vs a US distributor like Evasive swayed that decision a little more since I wasnt paying $1K for it.

I’m asking for my money back if it’s me. Especially for 800 dollars. It better be perfect.

Well, thankfully I didn't pay that either. 😆

It feels like I see my UPS driver more than some of my family now. Just got this delivered today.

Wasn't even thinking about getting the Alcantara steering, plus they were usually sold out. Got an email notification that a Honda parts dealer had limited stock and they sold them for $120 less than Honda, so I bit the bullet and bought it as kind of a birthday present to myself. I'm glad I did, because this steering is so damn nice, almost too nice that I don't want to install and ruin it.
