This has been the most significant deterrent in purchasing one, I've yet to see one installed with the boot.....will/can the boot be used with that shifter?
It sure can be used. In another install that I did, I removed the staples from the boot collar housing and repositioned the boot about a half inch taller the reconnected the boot back to the collar using the same staples. Worked like a champ ........... ;-)

I can definitely utilize the boot if I wanted to. Most opt for the one piece podium shift rod and that does not have any threads, so there is not a great way to attach the boot collar. This is the standard rod with threads. I could use the lock bolt on the shift knob that is the locking source for the boot collar.

I may actually go back to the boot at some point but honestly now that I have it open, I love seeing the beautiful shifter. Something about the mechanical nature and view of it makes the whole experience of driving even more engaging.

I installed mine with the stock boot and shift knob. I don't like the no boot look and it's too easy for things to fall in the hole. I don't plan on ever adjusting the shifter from the settings I have now, so it wasn't an issue for me.

Appreciate you! I wish to keep my boot as well, especially after buying the alcantara boot.

Summary of everything I've done since I took delivery a month ago:

mounted the license plate bracket using stainless zip ties plus black aluminum license plate frame

https://www.civicxi.com/forum/threads/front-plate-mount-options-fl5-type-r.51181/post-944003

removed the fake engine noise thingy (Active Sound Control?)

swapped in the ITS ADS module/controller

thermoformed black ABS sheet to protect driver side car mat (my Si had heel hole in the car mat and into the carpet below, so I figured that I should attempt to protect the CTR's mat)

Acuity throttle pedal relocation bracket (position C was the best, A was worst)

PRL rear engine mount

WOT Performance HPT cooling plate (ordered)

Hybrid Racing short throw shifter

Hybrid Racing shifter cable bushing

Hybrid Racing shift boot collar

Razo weighted shifter (from my 07 FA5 Si)

Mishimoto Round Steel Core Wood Shift Knob

hardwired Miofive 4K dash cams (front and back)

McGard wheel locks

RokBlokz rally mud flaps + mesh rock guards

FIAMM Freeway Blaster horns (high and low) + two Hella horns via relay

27Won air intake snorkel

41.22 drop-in kill switch

VTT OBD port lock

Votex quick oil drain plug

TPMS w/external valve stem sensors

LED bulb for trunk/hutch

Trunk organizer

Trash can (mounted behind center console)

1" foam on top of the center console (ugly, but comfortable...)

nicer center console armrest pad/cushion

New radiator and coolant expansion tank. Had to pull my PRL intake to get the radiator to fit but that's ok I'll get a drop in filter instead 👍

Bummer, which radiator?
I knew it when I bought it. I could have trimmed the fan shroud but honestly OEM intake is fine. I am not a big fan of the oiled filters. It's the WOT radiator from siwelnosaj on the forum. Radiator fit is tight it's taking up all available space 👍

Went a little overboard with the bride stuff. The seatbelt protectors are genuine from Japan. The arm rest pad and neck support pillows are knock offs but they make traffic a lot more comfy.

where did you get the BRIDE stuff?

the arm rest definitely looks better than my layers of cut up foam pad...
